LEGO Ideas Voltron (21311) Designer Video

In preparation of the LEGO Ideas Voltron (21311) being available for sale in a few weeks, LEGO has released the designer video for the set. LEGO designers Niek van Slagmaat and Mark Tranter talk about the background of the set as well as some of the features of it.

I’ve already completed building it yesterday and I’ll have my review of the set online soon. Voltron will be available for VIPs on July 23 and to the general public on August 1. The set will also be available in limited quantities at San Diego Comic Con next week.

LEGO has revealed one of the statues that fans will be able to take pictures with at San Diego Comic Con 2018 and that is Ultrakatty. It seems that LEGO is pushing this version of Unikitty because we’ve already seen her a few times first with the SDCC 2018 exclusive minifigure, a 2019 The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part set that was revealed earlier today called Ultrakatty & Warrior Lucy (70827) and now this 56,000 piece statue. Stay tuned as more LEGO SDCC 2018 statue reveals will be coming in the next few days leading up to opening day next week.

LEGO Reveals Three The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Sets

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Ultrakatty & Warrior Lucy (70827)

LEGO has revealed three of the sets from the upcoming 2019 wave of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. These sets aren’t something we haven’t seen before as they have been shown off in the trailer. These sets also confirm what I expected to be released from my trailer breakdown from a few weeks ago and the details are as follows:

Ultrakatty & Warrior Lucy (70827) – $29.99

Emmet and Lucy’s Escape Buggy (70829) – $49.99

Sweet Mayhem’s Systar Starship (70830) – $69.99

I totally expect to see these sets on display at San Diego Comic Con 2018 next week. Stay tuned as we get more set reveals for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Battle of Atlantis (76085) Amazon Prime Member Sale

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, there’s a pretty good deal on the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Battle of Atlantis (76085). It is currently on sale for only $11.99 which is 40% off the regular price of $19.99. The set comes with the Justice League version of Aquaman, a Parademon, and two Atlantean Guards but the main draw here are the sand green pieces which make up most of the set. There’s no word on when the deal is over but get it while you can if you’re a parts monkey.

LEGO Launches LEGO BrickHeadz Builder App

LEGO has announced that they’ve launched their free LEGO BrickHeadz Builder app for fans to enjoy. This new app is an augmented reality play experience that allows fans to bring their creations to life. There are a number of features such as designing your virtual BrickHeadz, unlocking new characters, and even building existing sets with virtual bricks. You can download it for Android over on the Google Play Store Check out the press release below.
