A few days ago, I reported that The Toys That Made Us will be returning to Netflix on May 25 which includes episodes covering Transformers, LEGO, Hello Kitty, and Star Trek. There is now a promo clip of the LEGO episode coming out of Nerdist which features a little bit about the LEGO Space and Castle sets. In the clip, we also see Adam Reed Tucker, David Robertson, and fellow San Diegan Bruno Todd talk about the sets as well. It looks to be a pretty exciting episode and I can’t wait to watch it.
LEGO has just released the designer video for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-Wing Starfighter (75181) where Senior Designer Jordan Scott and Graphic Designer Maddy O’Neil talks about some of the details of the set. One interesting thing to note is that Jordan says the UCS Y-Wing has taken about three years to produce. The set will be available starting on May 4 during the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th event.

In a nice surprise, Amazon has listed a previously unknown summer 2018 LEGO City set with the Capital (60200). The details regarding the pricing and piece count are not known at this time but it looks to be in the scale of the previous large-scale City sets like the Town Square and City Square (60097).
Included in this set are thirteen minifigures, a double-decker bus, a four-wheel crane, and some smaller vehicles. There’s also a mobile ice cream cart along with a standalone hot dog stand as well. There’s also a small skate ramp with a basket on one side but the bigger buildings include a museum and a hotel. This is the first time that the double-decker bus and a hotel has appeared in a LEGO City set.
It’s a new month and that means a new LEGO BrickHeadz set is now available for purchase on Shop@Home with the Justice League Tactical Batman & Superman (41610). It has 209 pieces and retails for $19.99 and it continues the two packs of LEGO BrickHeadz sets that have been pretty popular so far this year.
The LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron (42083) minisite has now been updated with a countdown timer for the release of the set. As we know by now, the release date has been pushed up to June 1 with the set most likely having VIP early access starting on May 16. There’s no other new details that are available at this time but hopefully there are some teasers ahead of the official reveal of the set which should be coming any day soon.
A few days ago, I talked about some of the upcoming “exclusive” promotions that will be happening for the LEGO Black VIP card holders which includes a special blueprint poster of the LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-Wing (75181). It looks like we have our first look at this poster coming out of HelloBricks and it is said that Black Card holders can get it without a minimum purchase while non-card holders can get it with a minimum purchase. If you were looking for exclusiveness, unfortunately, you won’t find it here. Some of the other promotions that will be happening this weekend include:
– Free BB-8 (40288) with purchase of $75 or more.
– Double VIP ponts on most Star Wars items.
– Select sale items.
– Porg in-store Make and Take build
Update: I’ve gotten concrete information from a legitimate source the that the poster is only available for Black Card holders with a purchase of $35 or more. Non-card holders will not be able to get it.
