The Modular Arcade by Astronaut Avila is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. As you can see, the project is a corner modular style which should be able to connect to existing modular buildings. The building has three floors, pizzaria, arcade, and apartment and each of them are filled with little details.
The project now joins the Embraer A-29 Super Tucano, SR-71A The Final Flight, Treehouse, and Stitch as the projects to qualify for the First 2018 Review Stage.
Warner Bros. has had a tight lip on the details of The LEGO Movie Sequel and there hasn’t been a lot of information about it since last September. It has come to light from The Hollywood Reporter that Tiffany Haddish has signed on to voice a brand new character in the franchise. She joins the returning cast of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Channing Tatum, and Jonah Hill with Mike Mitchell at the helm. There’s no mentioning on how Haddish will fit in to the sequel but it’ll be interesting to see how her character will be incorporated to the story.
The LEGO Movie 2 will be in theaters on February 8, 2019 unless it gets delayed.
I haven’t done these posts in a while but Amazon currently has some LEGO City train sets on sale which price matches some other retailers. They are some of the older train sets from 2014 so they could be retired soon given that there’s a rumor of some new train sets coming this summer/fall. There are also some additional track sets that are on sale which are at their lowest prices ever on Amazon including the Flex Tracks (7499) and the Switch Tracks (7895).

The LEGO Ideas TRON: Legacy (21314) was announced last week and LEGO has released the designer video of the set. This video actually goes into the design process a little bit more than previous designer videos as a majority of the video talks about the set more rather than the LEGO designers Junya Suzuki and Mark Tranter. The LEGO Ideas TRON: Legacy set will be available starting on March 31 for the retail price of $34.99.
If you want to get your hands on the Series 18 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71021), you may want to your local Target store as they have started to appear at various locations. The price of them have stayed the same with them being $3.99 each. Finding them early is somewhat key if you hope to score the fairly exclusive Policeman minifigure which comes one per box. If you haven’t yet, check out my review of the series and see the breakdown of how many minifigures come in a new box of 60. Last week, the internet kind of broke with the reveal of the teaser of the LEGO The Incredibles Video Game comign from the back of the instructions for LEGO Juniors Incredibles 2 sets. There weren’t many details except that it would be coming out for the PlayStation 4, PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and XBox One.
There’s some new information that came out of Amazon Canada which revealed that the potential release date would be on June 15 which is the same day the movie comes out in theaters. Also on those listings, they’ve also revealed the box art for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The covers show Mr. Incredible in a bulkier LEGO form, Elastigirl, Violet Parr, Dashiell Parr, and Jack-Jack in the foreground with Frozone hovering the in background.
I’ve been told that the official announcement of the game from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be coming out soon so stay tuned for that. There’s no word on an exclusive minifigure to go with the game but I wouldn’t mind having a LEGO minifigure of Frozone since we haven’t had one before.
We’ve already seen all the official images of the LEGO Star Wars Solo: A Star Wars Story including the two accompanying BrickHeadz sets. If you’re a theme completionist, there’s also a polybag that will be coming out for Solo which is the Imperial TIE Fighter (30381). This version has 42 pieces and it is the fourth version of a TIE Fighter as a polybag. There’s no word yet on availability of it at this time.
