LEGO MRI Scanners Reduces Children’s Anxiety Worldwide

Back in February 2022, The LEGO Foundation started an initiative to donate LEGO MRI Scanners to hospitals worldwide to help ease children’s fears of using the machine. Today LEGO has announced that over one million children around the world have used the LEGO MRI Scanner set to reduce anxiety. Since 2023, more than 10,000 LEGO MRI Scanner sets have been donated to hospitals and health professionals around the world.

Play-based LEGO® MRI Scanner set reduces anxiety and sedation for children in hospitals worldwide

BILLUND, DENMARK, 13 October 2025 – Over one million children around the world have used the LEGO Group’s MRI Scanner set, helping transform a potentially stressful medical procedure through a playful, hands-on learning experience.

The set, which features a scanner, patient bed, waiting room, scanning room, staff minifigures and medical accessories, was designed by the LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation to help children understand MRI procedures by learning through play. MRI scans are frequently used in pediatric care because they do not use radiation. But for many children, the experience can be overwhelming requiring them to lie still in a large, noisy machine for extended periods. As a result, sedation or general anesthesia is often used.

New research conducted by the LEGO Group revealed that 96% of healthcare professionals globally who used the LEGO MRI Scanner set say the model helps alleviate children’s anxiety, and 46% report that it has reduced the need for sedation or anesthesia during MRI procedures.

Since 2023, more than 10,000 LEGO MRI Scanner sets have been

LEGO Virginia Factory Raises Final Steel Beam

The new LEGO factory in Virginia has reached a major construction milestone with the placement of the final steel beam on the main production building’s frame. The steel topping out marks the start of the next phase of construction for the factory which still remains on track to begin production in 2027. We’ve already touched on this before but there will be over 1,700 positions and you can sign up to get notified of any openings.

LEGO Manufacturing Virginia reaches major construction milestone at new U.S. factory ahead of 2027 opening

• The final steel beam was raised on the LEGO Group’s U.S. factory, marking progress towards the next construction phase.
• The over US $1.5 billion investment includes the factory and a regional distribution center. The factory will create more than 1,700 jobs and is set to open in 2027.
• The steel topping out milestone was celebrated with a signed beam and a 2.5-foot LEGO® brick tree – a playful take on the construction tradition.

VIRGINIA, USA, OCTOBER 1, 2025: Today, the LEGO Group’s U.S. factory site marked a major construction milestone with the placement of the final steel beam on the main production building’s frame. The symbolic ‘topping out’ moment signals the start of the next phase of construction for the state-of-the-art facility, which remains on track to begin production in 2027.

Reddit User Buys LEGO Star Wars UCS Death Star (75419) For $0

The LEGO Star Wars UCS Death Star (75419) is by no means a cheap set but a user on Reddit has managed to get it for “free” using only Insiders points. Of course, if you’ve been buying LEGO throughout the years and hoarding all the points without using them, a big purchase like this is valid.

It required the user to use 129,998 Insiders points to get the max discount of $999.99 but it was easy for them since they’ve already banked over 150k points. Each $1 you spend earns you 6.5 points so you had to have already spent $20,000 to get the points in the first place. Even if you just shopped during the double points event, $10,000 is still a lot for anybody. LEGO also sometimes did the 4x events but those were rare.

Kudos to the user that did it and we’re not worthy. I thought I had a lot of points but there’s many people out there that have way more.
