Back in 2015, LEGO released their first large scale Marvel set with The SHIELD Helicarrier (76042) and this year they have revisited the set with the updated S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (76354). This set has 3,057 pieces and retails for $399.99 which is the second most expensive LEGO Marvel set ever produced.
AI is one of the most divisive types of technology in recent years and LEGO Ideas will have no part of it. LEGO has updated their rules and guidelines to prohibit the use of AI-generated images for LEGO Ideas submissions. LEGO wants you to actually build out your ideas and if you you need help, you can use Studio to build it digitally.
This isn’t the first time that LEGO has been mentioned alongside AI. A few years ago, they were caught using AI for a Ninjago character quiz. Last year, there was a job listing for an generative AI internship which got taken down after more backlash.
LEGO has officially revealed the return of LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants sets with a few new ones coming this September. If you’re a newer LEGO fan, the LEGO SpongeBob theme had sets from 2006 to 2012 but it wasn’t a big theme as there were only a couple of sets per year. LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set with La Catrina (21372). Releasing on August 1, the set has 1,212 peices and will retail for $139.99. The set features the iconic character that is associated with the Day of the Dead.

BrickLink has recently announced there will be some new changes coming to the BrickLink Designer Program. The first thing is the refreshed look of the program with the new logo as well as new box designs for future sets. There will be different accent colors for the various waves.
Speaking of waves, as of 2028, BrickLink will be using waves instead of series for the release cycles. Starting with Series 12, it will now be called 2028 Wave 1. There will be a maximum of three waves per year.
