The Summer of LEGO Star Wars Panel at Star Wars Celebration 2022

Star Wars Celebration is returning this year to Anaheim and there will be a LEGO Star Wars panel on one of the days. There will be a panel called The Summer of LEGO Star Wars on Friday, May 27 at 12:30pm in which they will be celebrating the theme as well as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The panel description does say something about brand new LEGO Star Wars sets but it’s doesn’t clarify if it will be the summer 2022 wave of sets or just the diorama ones that just released. We’ll have to see what goes on that day.

LEGO Opens New Digital Office in Copenhagen

LEGO has recently announced that they have opened up a new digital office in Copenhagen that will be used to accelerate digital transformation. The office is used for a team of 400 that will help LEGO’s long-term digitalization goal. The digital offices in Billund, London and Shanghai will also be expanded in a three year period that will expand the team to 1,800 people.

COPENHAGEN, April 21, 2022: The LEGO Group today announced it has opened a new digital office in Copenhagen to support its long-term digital ambitions. The office, one of four digital workspaces around the world, will be a base for up to 400 colleagues.

Digital offices in Billund, London and Shanghai will also be expanded to accommodate the growing team which will nearly triple in size over a three year period to more than 1,800 globally.

Chief Digital & Technology Office, Atul Bhardwaj said: “Our digital transformation is one of the single largest investments the LEGO Group will make in a generation. We’ve been blending physical and digital experiences for many years and are excited by our progress. But, we have big ambitions so are accelerating our investment and expanding our digital team.

“The LEGO® brick will always be the heart of our business but we’re seeing great success making LEGO a digitally enabled brand from new ways to play, shop and do business.”

LEGO Builder’s Journey Now Available on PlayStation Consoles

LEGO Builder’s Journey has been building to its release on the PlayStation platforms and it is now available after two years. Originally on Apple Arcade, it was then released on the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox last year.

With the launch on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, there is also a new Creative Mode that was released for all platforms. In this mode, you get to create your own builds with a selection of LEGO bricks that you can share using Photo Mode.

LEGO 2022 Keepsake Ornaments Revealed

The 2022 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments Dream Book was released today and it has revealed some new LEGO Keepsake Ornaments for this year. There are four to collect this year and they include Benny, Yeti, Harry Potter, and BB-8. Each of them costs $16.99 each and there are varied release dates for them. The 2022 Global RepTrak 100 rankings have been recently released and LEGO has been named one of the most reputable companies in the world. This year, LEGO was named the third most reputable company after Rolex and Ferrari which broke a two year streak of being at the top spot. Denmark, Billund, 07 April 2022 – To mark Autism Acceptance Month, the LEGO Foundation announces the launch of a new Accelerator grant: an equity free funding and fixed term mentorship programme for social enterprises, ventures and organisations who wish to support autistic children and children with ADHD with play-based learning.

“When neurodivergent children are understood, valued, and empowered, everyone benefits from their important, and often, extraordinary contributions,” remarks Dr. Maureen Dunne, Senior Advisor and Special Educational Needs and Disability Expert for the Play for All Accelerator. “Neurodivergent inventors, scientists, and artists have reshaped entire industries.
