LEGO Employees to Get Bigger Bonuses and More Vacation Time

LEGO has seen some decent growth in terms of sales and revenue so far this year and it looks like it company is passing the rewards to employees. Bloomberg has reported that LEGO will be giving its employees bigger bonuses and more vacation days. More than 20,000 employees will get three more vacation days and the annual bonuses will be bigger as a thank you for their contributions. We already know how generous LEGO is to employees with employee gifts during the holiday season and other bonuses so it’s nice to see that they continue to reward employees and not just at the top level like with other major retailers.

LEGO Foundation Donates 7.1 Million Danish Kroner to German Red Cross

Back in July, there were major floods in Europe and one of those countries that was affected included Germany. Today the LEGO Foundation has announced that they will be donating 7.1 million Danish Kroner (960,000 Euros) to the German Red Cross in efforts to help support reconstruction of schools and building a family aid center. This is LEGO’s ongoing humanitarian contributions to help crises around the world.

The LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation announce a 960k EUR grant to support children and families affected by the disastrous flooding in Germany

Billund, November 23rd, 2021: People in flood-affected areas in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, are still struggling with rebuilding their lives three months after the flooding. “The water is gone, but the need for relief efforts and aid continues unabated,” says Karen Pascha-Gladyshev, Managing Director of LEGO GmbH, referring to the flood disaster in July, which destroyed several German villages entirely.

The LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation have now announced a donation of 7.1 million Danish Kroner (DKK) (960,000 Euros) granted to the German Red Cross (DRK) for the reconstruction of ten kindergartens and the build-up of a family aid center. “We care for the well-being of children around the world and hope that this contribution will help children and families locally in the affected areas of North-Rhine Westphalia,” says Pascha-Gladyshev.

“The initial aid supplied right after the flood was important, in the truest sense of the word, essential for survival,” explains Axel Fielen, chairman of the DRK District Chapter of Aachen e.V. “Now it is

Today is the opening day of Ghostbusters: Afterlife and if you didn’t know LEGO has a new version of the Ecto-1 for the movie. It was actually released last year in anticipation of the movie being out in July 2020 but it got delayed a few times.

Due to the popularity of many larger sets on the LEGO Shop, it is temporarily out of stock but fortunately, you can still place your orders on Amazon at retail price. The listing does say it’ll it will be in stock soon and delivery will be between November 21-29. With the movie coming out, I’m sure that fans will be wanting to get this iconic car in a larger scale model and it is easily one of the best representations of it.

LEGO Back to the Future DeLorean New Rumors for 2022

Earlier this year, there was a rumor of the LEGO Creator Back to the Future DeLorean that was supposed to be released in the fall but that eventually turned out to be the LEGO Pickup Truck (10290). There are now new rumors from Promobricks that will instead be coming in April 2022. Reported to cost 169.99€, the DeLorean will have set number 10300 and will be exclusive to LEGO until July where it’ll be available elsewhere.

Furthermore, the details for the DeLorean include it being able to change from the original look from the first movie to the hover conversion design from 2015 with the folding wheels. Of course, you’ll also have the other iconic details of the DeLorean such as the OUTATIME license plate and the flux capacitor. Marty’s Mattel hoverboard is also said to be included. We’ll see if minifigures of Marty and Doc Brown are included but it’ll be a shame if they aren’t.

As always, these are purely rumors until LEGO announces them or images show up at an online shop.
