BrickJournal Founder Joe Meno Passes Away

In some very sad news that came out last night, BrickJournal founder Joe Meno has passed away after fighting cancer the past few years. For over 20 years, Joe’s work help showcase the LEGO fan community in the BrickJournal as well as at LEGO conventions. He was also heavily involved with FIRST LEGO League working with elementary school teams. I was lucky enough to meet Joe a few times at San Diego Comic Con and he was always fun to talk to, not just about LEGO but about life stuff in general. Joe will be missed.

LEGO Kpop Demon Hunters Partnership Announced – Sets Coming 2026/2027

LEGO has officially announced a new partnership with Netflix for LEGO KPop Demon Hunters sets. In the teaser video, you can see Derpy knocking over a small plant with its foot. There will be one set to be revealed and coming for pre-order this spring for a summer release with more sets coming in 2027.

A new LEGO BrickHeadz set has been revealed today with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures (40878). Releasing in April, the set has 567 pieces and will retail for $39.99. These BrickHeadz marks the return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after a 12 year hiatus with the last sets in 2014. The set features Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello along with their accessories.

LEGO has revealed some new LEGO Star Wars SMART Play sets that you can pre-order today. These sets are SMART Play compatible meaning that they do have SMART Minifigures and SMART Tags but the SMART Bricks themselves are not included. You’ll need to get either Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter (75241), Luke’s Red Five X-Wing (75423), or Throne Room Duel & A-Wing (75427) to get the SMART Brick if you want full functionality of the system.

LEGO has officially revealed a new LEGO Editions set with the Football (43019). Releasing on March 1 (pre-order today), the set has 1,498 pieces and will retail for $129.99. The set features an almost 1:1 scale LEGO football that can open up to reveal a mini stadium scene inside.
