The LEGO Group Launches LEGO Fan CoLab

LEGO Fan CoLab Recognized LEGO Fan Creator

A few weeks ago, LEGO officially launched the LEGO Fan CoLab which replaces the LEGO Ambassador Network. If you didn’t know the LEGO Ambassador Network (LAN) was a centralized place where LEGO communities, LUGs, content creators, blogs, etc. could interact with each other but mainly it was for a line of communication with LEGO directly. There were also some perks for being a recognized community including access to press releases, early review sets, support for events, etc.

The new LEGO Fan CoLab builds on what they have learned on the LAN and expands on how LEGO interacts with the fan ecosystem which includes communities, creators, event organizers, media, developers, artists, builders, and many others who contribute to the LEGO fan experience. Of course, we can still interact with various recognized communities and share information.

All the participants are separated into three groups, Recognized LEGO Fan Creators, Recognized LEGO Fan Communities, and Recognized LEGO Fan Events. We here at The Brick Fan are now called a Recognition LEGO Fan Creator and LEGO has sent over a neat little sign, among other things, to help us promote both our site and the Fan CoLab itself.

Changing from the LEGO Ambassador Network to the LEGO Fan CoLab doesn’t change what we do here at The Brick Fan. We’ll still be doing the normal LEGO news and set reveals with some LEGO reviews and shopping deals thrown in here and there. Of course, we will also be attending San Diego Comic Con every summer as well so everything is business … Continue

New LEGO Monkie Kid Series Airing on YouTube

We haven’t talked about LEGO Monkie Kid in over a year and a half since the 2025 sets were released. After that there was literally no news on the theme and everybody pretty much thought it was discontinued. That is until a few hours ago when LEGO uploaded a new episode of LEGO Monkie Kid on YouTube. This new series tells the story after the Demon Bull King’s defeat while Monkie Kid still learning to control his powers. There are still 10 LEGO Monkie Kid sets available on the LEGO Shop but aren’t ready to be retired yet.

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2026 Recap

LEGO SDCC 2026

It’s been a few weeks since San Diego Comic Con 2026 ended but we finally got around to do a recap on the LEGO happenings during the event. As I mentioned before, it was overall more subtle this year as evident by the booth layout and the lack of panels.

The LEGO booth this year was focused on the new LEGO SMART Play sets. It was an airport terminal style layout with the flight board taking center stage. Here we have some locations of various LEGO sets and their set numbers. There is a LEGO BIONICLE reference thrown in for Nui Rama (8537) for Metru Nui. The staff there was handing out different LEGO posters each day. If I recall, there was a Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Ninjago, One Piece, and The Mandalorian.

There waa also a scavenger hunt for LEGO luggage tags to win a prize pack. Apparently the luggage tags weren’t just in the exhibit floor but it was spread throughout the whole convention center. I did hear that quite a few people actually found some.

The left side of the board was for LEGO Pokemon and the right was for LEGO Star Wars, each showcasing some of the latest sets for the line including the SMART Play ones. There are some interactive area and areas to take pictures. The backside of the booth was another showcase of recently announced sets.
