LEGO Disney Castle (71040) Now Available for General Public

If you haven’t been able to purchase the LEGO Disney Castle (71040) during the VIP early access, you can now purchase the set on Shop@Home. The Disney Castle has been temporarily out of stock for a while on both S@H and at LEGO Brand Stores since it was released a few weeks ago. I have a feeling that it will be out of stock again in a few days so get it while you can or if you prefer to wait until October, you can get Double VIP Points on it.

Update: It has sold out temporarily online and word is it will be back at the end of September.

LEGO Disney Castle (71040) Now Available for VIPs

The time you’ve been waiting for is now here! LEGO VIP members can now purchase the LEGO Disney Castle (71040) on Shop@Home. The set contains 4,080 pieces and retails for $349.99. The Disney Castle will also be available at LEGO Brand Stores when they open up in the morning. If you’re not a VIP member, the set will be available to the general public on September 1. I totally expect LEGO to run out of stock pretty quickly so I suggest getting your orders in early. I’ll have my review of the set soon so stay tuned for that.

LEGO has officially announced the latest Direct-to-Consumer set with the Disney Castle (71040). It contains 4,080 pieces and retails for $349.99. It will be available from August 17-31 for VIPs and in September 1 for the general public.

LEGO Disney Cinderella Castle (71040) Rumored to be Released in September

If you can’t get enough of the LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012), today over on Eurobricks, CM4Sci has revealed that there will be a direct-to-consumer LEGO Disney Cinderalla Castle (71040) that is scheduled to be released in September.

There are no concrete details on the castle at this time but I’m assuming that it will be based either on the Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World or the castle from the movie.

As for the minifigures, CM4Sci also mentioned that they will be the standard minifigures and not minidolls. If you’re collecting the Disney Collectible Minifigures, you’ll notice that Goofy or Pluto aren’t included and I’m guessing they’ll be part of this set along with some other main characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. It’s also rumored that Tinkerbell would be included as well.
