Two LEGO Promotions Ending Today – September 2019

Today is the last days for a couple of promotions going on at LEGO Shop@Home. First is the free LEGO Lunch Box (5006017) with purchases of $99 or more.

The other promotion ending today is for the free LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander (75522) with a purchase of the LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander (75253). If you’ve been collecting the LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Edition minifigures, this set miniset is also part of the line.

It’s a new week and there are some new LEGO VIP Promotions that have went live. First is the free LEGO Lunch Box (5006017) with purchases of $99 or more. This promo run until September 15 or while supplies last.

The other promotion is the free LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander (75522) with purchases of the LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander (75253). Note that this is a separate product listing with the product number 5006036 that includes the mini set. This promotion will also run until September 15.

So technically if you get the Droid Commander, you’ll essentially be getting three promotional items because the LEGO Hidden Side Newbury’s Juice Bar (40336) is also included as well.

LEGO Star Wars Boost The Droid Orchestra

To celebrate the official release of the LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander (75253), LEGO has released a video showing the droids playing the classic Star Wars theme song. The orchestra uses a whopping 95 of the droids and 42 instruments to create along with countless hours to put everything together. Check out the breakdown of the details below.

LEGO designer Carl Merriam and Senior UX designer Steve Geist talk about how the LEGO BOOST is used alongside the app within this set. Earlier this month, LEGO announced the LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander (75253) and now more official images of the set have been uploaded to LEGO’s servers. The set will be available starting on September 1 and it will have 1,177 pieces. Using those pieces, you’ll be able to build three different droids including R2-D2, the Gonk Droid, and the Mouse Droid and you won’t need any other BOOST sets to get it up and running.
