LEGO Now Offering Annual Passes to LEGO House

If you’re thinking about going to the LEGO House in Billund, you may be interested to hear that LEGO is now offering annual passes for it. For a limited time from April 13-28, LEGO is also offering a discount on the pass for 299 DKK (~$45). This introductory price will return to 399 DKK after Easter. The only way to get this deal is at the LEGO House itself so it is advantageous to do it when you first get there.

LEGO House Documentary Coming to Netflix

LEGO has announced that starting tomorrow, there will be a special LEGO documentary on the LEGO House coming to Netflix. The show takes you through the journey of how an idea from Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen come to reality. Check out the trailer below.

From 15th June you can discover the fascinating LEGO spirit manifested in the ultimate LEGO building on all NETFLIX servers globally.

The original idea behind the LEGO House came from Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen – a dream for the LEGO Group and for the town of Billund.

A unique journey into the making of a house built on a foundation of dreams. This is a construction diary unfolding the endless possibilities of the LEGO brick.

The concept has all the way been to build a LEGO House which would offer the most amazing hands-on experiences and inspire the guests to embrace creativity.

This includes a one of a kind architectural idea by BIG and Bjarke Ingels, a restaurant that serves the food by robots, 25 million LEGO bricks and dedicated staff that tries, fails and revises ideas in order to reach the company motto: Only the best is good enough.

Decorating the LEGO House Building Contest

How would you like to have your LEGO model be featured at the LEGO House in Billund with some great prizes up for grabs? LEGO Rebrick is holding a new contest for some vignette-type sets in the Nature and Minifigure Interior categories with the winning model being displayed at the LEGO House for one year. In addition, you’ll also get a signed copy of the LEGO Architecture The LEGO House (21037) as well. The requirements of the builds are as follows:

Nature – including animals, plants and flowers. Make sure your model’s base is between 4×4 studs – 64 x 32 studs in total and the model is no more than 60 bricks high. No parts of your model can overhang 64×32 studs, although you can have different parts overhanging if you have a smaller baseplate.

Minifigure Interiors – show us the inside of a room or vignette scene in Minifigure scale. Just make sure the baseplate is between 16×8 studs – 64×32 studs and the model is no more than 60 bricks high. No parts of your model can overhang 64×32 studs, although you can have different parts overhanging if you have a smaller baseplate.

There will be a minimum of 10 winners in each category, who will receive:

– The opportunity to have their model exhibited at the LEGO House, including a short description of the model and the name of the builder, with all costs for shipping the model to be provided by The LEGO Group.

LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000026) Retail Version Announced

Last year at the LEGO Inside Tour, attendees were able to get the exclusive LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000024) which were numbered to 175 sets. Many fans wanted to get their hands on the but there’s was no reasonable way to get it until now. LEGO has just announced on the LEGO Ambassador Network that LEGO senior designer Steen Sig Andersen who designed the original set was also asked to create a retail version of the set as well. The new version of the LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000026) will be slightly different and smaller than the original one. There will be 10,000 sets produced and it will contain 837 pieces while retailing for 599 DKK. It will be available starting on March 1, 2018 and will be exclusively sold at the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark.

Win a Night at the LEGO House on Airbnb

LEGO has teamed up with Airbnb to give you a chance to win a night at the LEGO House. The only thing is that you must be able to be in Denmark on November 24. Your host will be LEGO deigner Jamie Berard who will take you around the LEGO House. There’s also a surprise for the next day before the LEGO House opens to the public in which you will leave a lasting impression on.

LEGO House Tour from Beyond the Brick

LEGO House

After four long years of planning and construction, the LEGO House has officially opened in Billund but last week over 600 AFOLs had a chance to visit before the ceremonial opening yesterday. One of these AFOLs who was able to attend was Joshua Hanlon from Beyond the Brick and they have released a new video giving us a thorough tour of what to expect at the LEGO House. If you aren’t going to Denmark anytime soon, this video is a great way to check out LEGO’s newest attraction without leaving your home.
