LEGO Ideas Stitch Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Stitch by Tyler Clites, aka Legohaulic, is the latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Tyler is one of the most creative and prolific builders in the LEGO community and his project is of the fan favorite genetic experiment from Disney’s Lilo and Stitch. It is a large scale model of the character and includes 13 points of articulation while standing at 7 inches tall.

The project now joins the Embraer A-29 Super Tucano, SR-71A The Final Flight, and Treehouse as the projects to qualify for the First 2018 Review Stage.

LEGO Ideas Women of NASA (21312) Amazon Sale

Amazon is having a sale on the LEGO Ideas Women of NASA (21312) set for $20.44. It is currently 18% off the retail price of $24.99. This is a pretty decent deal and is better than the sale from last time which makes it the lowest it’s ever been on Amazon.

The set itself has three vignette builds and four minifigures featuring some important women of NASA including Nancy Grace Roman, Margaret Hamilton, Sally Ride, and Mae Jemison. I’ve already done a review of the set if you want to check it out.

LEGO Ideas Treehouse Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Treehouse by KevinTreeHouse is the latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It consists of 2,643 pieces and it’s a large scale treehouse that is very detailed. It’s so large that it took the creator around 600 hours to put together. It’s not just a display piece as it does have some play features including detachable cabins which are minifigure scaled.

The project now joins the Embraer A-29 Super Tucano and the SR-71A The Final Flight as the projects to qualify for the First 2018 Review Stage.

Post Your Entries for the LEGO Ideas Moments in Space Contest

LEGO Ideas Moments in Space

Yesterday, I reported that the crowd voting stage for the LEGO Ideas Moments in Space contest was underway. This stage is to find the top 25 entries out of a whopping 1,065 entries who participated. I’ve been asked by readers a few times already to feature their entries. While I can’t feature every single one, I’ll allow participants to leave a comment below to show off their own builds.

You may have noticed on each entry page that it doesn’t show the voes even though you have voted on a particular entry. According Hasan in the LEGO Ambassador Network, “The votes are intentionally hidden for this phase and will be revealed at the end of the contest.” This allows a level playing field since nobody knows how many votes an entry has gained. This also makes the whole thing a popularity contest to find the top 25 entries. I suggest using the filters to find which entries have the most discussions to gauge what is popular at the moment for the contest.
