LEGO Mixels Staying For the Long-Term?

Jason over on The Brick Show is reporting that the highly popular LEGO Mixels sets will be staying for the long-term. He notes from Brickworld Chicago 2014 that the news comes from an “extremely reliable” source and considering that the guys over on that channel do get sets to review early from LEGO, I wouldn’t be surprised that the information is true.

The Series 2 sets have recently just hit the shelves and Series will be released later this year but the word is that there will be more series, even beyond the 4th series, and they will be around for “quite a while.” There’s no other information at this time about the future of the LEGO Mixels them but we’ll definitely be reporting it as soon as we hear something.

LEGO Mixels Series 2 Official Images

We’ve already seen images of the characters of Series 2 of the LEGO Mixels at the 2014 New York Toy Fair but Amazon Japan now has the official images of the characters from this wave. There are images of these characters in the back of the current instruction booklets but we now get to see clearer images of them.

Series 2 features three new tribes: the Frosticons (blue), the Fang Gang (brown), and the Flexers (orange). The Frosticons hail from the frozen crystalline shells of dead volcanoes and consists of Slumbo (41509), Lunk (41510), and Flurr (41511).

The Fang Gang live on a farm where they grow food to satisfy their massive appetites. This tribe has Chomly (41512), Gobba (41513), and Jawg (41514).

Finally, the Flexers live in the Rubberlands, defending their land from the Nixels. The three members of this tribe includes Kraw (41515), Tentro (41516), and Balk (41517).

These wildly popular figures will be available in June and will go for $4.99 each.
