This month, the contest is called the Spaceship, Spaceship, Spaceship Contest and the objective is to build the most outrageous spaceship possible which has to include at least 2 minifigures and upload images of it. The LEGO Movie Amazon/Warner Bros. Update

The LEGO Movie: Everything is Awesome Edition

Many people have been emailing me to ask if I had more information about the Amazon/Warner Bros. dispute and whether they should cancel their Amazon pre-order for The LEGO Movie and shop somewhere else. One of our readers got the following message when they inquired on whether they will be receiving their copy from Amazon or not:

Hello,

I apologize for any misunderstanding about the delivery estimate for your order. We rely on the manufacturer for release date information, and they’ve indicated that “The LEGO MOvie: Every is Awesome Edition” will be released on June 17.

Once this item has been released and we receive copies, we’ll be able to ship it to you. It’s not uncommon for there to be a delay of several weeks between the release and distribution of a new publication.

When your order is shipped, we’ll send you an e-mail confirmation. We don’t charge you for items until they enter the shipping process.

Judging by the wording of that email, it may seem that Amazon would not have copies in time for the release date. That is until our reader got a follow up email a short time later:

I’ve reviewed our previous correspondence with you, and I’m very sorry about the incorrect information you received.

I’ve checked with our Inventory Department within Amazon.com and confirm that “The LEGO Movie” is eligible for Release-Date Delivery.

The dispute between Amazon and Warner Home Video will not affect any of our Release-Date Delivery.

I can confirm that we expect to ship your order

There’s no word on the availability of this particular polybag at this time but I suspect that it will probably be in a future LEGO promo or a standard Toys R Us polybag. This is currently one of the three 2014 polybags that revolve around the “Fire vs. Ice” storyline and the only way to get Frax. We’ll have more details once they are available.
