The LEGO Movie - The Emmet Awards - Everything is Awesome Contest

The final contest for The LEGO Movie’s the Emmet Awards is now live and it’s called the Everything is Awesome Contest. The object of the contest is to make a new music video of “Everything is Awesome.” Choose from four different tracks of the song and a number scenes to create your unique video. After you finish, submit your creation and go up against others with their videos. The winner chosen will be entered to go up against other Monthly Contest winners and the Grand Prize winner will get a 19.6 inch tall LEGO Emmet Statue and The LEGO Movie sets numbered 70811-70816 plus MetalBeard’s Sea Cow 70810. The contest runs until July 31st 11:59AM EDT.

The Everything Is Awesome Award. – Take new movie clips and make a totally awesome music video.

The Emmet Awards Spaceship, Spaceship, Spaceship Contest

The LEGO Movie The Emmet Awards Spaceship Contest

I’m a little late in reporting this but there’s still time to enter a new contest for the June The LEGO Movie’s The Emmet Awards. This month, the contest is called the Spaceship, Spaceship, Spaceship Contest and the objective is to build the most outrageous spaceship possible which has to include at least 2 minifigures and upload images of it. Remember that you cannot have any licensed themes in your build. The contest ends June 30th at 11:59AM EDT. The winner of this contest will be entered as one of the six Monthly Nominees and has a chance to be the overall Grand Prize Winner.

Contest #5 (June): The Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!!! Award. – Using your LEGO brick collection build the biggest, wildest most awesome spaceship model you can imagine. But remember…you need a cool pilot and co-pilot in your entry!

The LEGO Movie The Emmet Awards

It is now April and The LEGO Movie’s The Emmet Awards have started another contest for the month. This month’s contest is called Ordinary to Extraordinary. For this contest, you just have to build an ordinary LEGO model and add pieces to it to make it extraordinary. You can upload up to four images and people can vote on them. The contest lasts until the end of the month.

The Ordinary to Extraordinary Award. – Take everyday vehicles and buildings and rebuild them into something totally crazy-awesome to help save the day! Be sure to upload a before AND after photo so everyone can see the transformation!

The LEGO Movie The Emmet Awards

The second part of The LEGO Movie The Emmet Awards contest is now available for kids to enter. The contest that started today is called the “Double Decker Contest” and you have to build something useful. Then you have to build something else that is useful and combine the two to create something double useful. Upload your image and you’re entered. Only kids under the age of 18 are qualified to enter. Remember the winner of this contest will go up against other contest winners throughout the event.

Contest #2 (March): The Double Decker Award. – Can you take something around you, stack it up and make it double awesome using LEGO bricks and your creativity?

The LEGO Movie’s The Emmet Awards – Design Your Own Trailer

The LEGO Movie The Emmet Awards

The LEGO Movie’s The Emmet Awards have begun and kids up to 18 years old can enter the first contest of directing their own trailer. You can create the trailer by using LEGO’s very simple app. Drag and drop various scenes into the timeline to create a full 12-scene trailer. After that, select your trailer image cover and choose your tags and you’re done. Below are some of the rules. Check out the full rules on the contest itself.

Contest #1: Begins on February 11, 2014 at 8:00AM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and ends on February 28, 2014 at 11:59PM EST.

Entries will be evaluated by the Judges based on the following criteria:
25%: Creativity
25%: Originality
20%: Awesomeness
20%: Overall fit and faithfulness to the Monthly Contest theme
10%: For Video and Music Editing Contests: Entertainment value and interesting use of the video and audio clips;
For Building Contests, the stability and structural integrity of the model.
