A few days ago, I’ve received a new Dorling Kingsley LEGO book in the mail courtesy of Penguin Group, The LEGO Movie: The Essential Guide. Before the movie was released, the book gained recognition early by revealing some of the movie sets and minifigures that will be released in a few months. The Essential Guide retails for $12.99 and is written by Hannah Dolan. The book only consists on 64 pages but it is jam-packed with details about the movie.
The book starts off by introducing Bricksburg and some of its citizens. It then goes into detail of some of the main characters that you will see in the movie. Each of these characters gets two pages dedicated to them filled with random facts and tidbids. There are also pages that show some of the locations the characters will be visiting such as the Octan Tower, The Old West, and Cloud Cuckoo Land, just to name a few. The guide also mentions some of the other Master Builder of Bricksburg and their skills like the highly-popular popular Green Lantern and Johnny Thunder. Like I’ve mentioned before, the book also shows details of the three new Movie sets that will be released in the near future, Emmet’s Constructo-Mech (70814), Super Secret Police Dropship (70815), and Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! (70816). We found the books listed on BNC CataList and they are currently available for pre-order on Amazon and will be released on December 30th.
