It seems that we keep finding new items for The LEGO Batman Movie. Online shop Brickshop.nl has posted another new polybag and this time it’s the Kiss Kiss Tuxedo Batman (5004928) keychain. Over on their site, it’s a promotional polybag for them but there’s no word on how other parts of the world can get it.

Can you cut off the keychain and clasp or will that ruin the figure?
I have found the candle method to work considerably well but, it will leave a hole in the top of the cowl but that could be filled with clay or putty or you could just put a new cowl from a different batman fig since there are going to be sooooo many.

If you don’t care about the cowl, you can just snap the stem off at the top (much faster, less mess/risk of injury). Note that the keychain bodies are now very different from the regular minifig bodies. Arms and legs are pretty much unchanged, but the neck post is part of the hips and the torso has a hole through the top. This was almost certainly done because people like to de-chain the keychains, and they wanted to make the connection between the body and the keychain stem stronger. That said, any heat-based techniques that were developed for the old style minifig keychains may or may not work the same on the new ones.
