The LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 Collectible Minifigures (71020) First Look

The LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 Collectible Minifigures (71020)

I’ve just posted the January 2018 LEGO Store Calendar and on the back of the it, we get our official first look at Series 2 of The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures (71020). I know there’s images of the leaflet floating around but I’m waiting for an official announcement before I post it. We’ll mostly like see an announcemnt shortly as they will be available starting in January.

In this photo, we get to see some of the minifigures including Swimming Pool Batman (with Dolphin), Disco Harley, Vacation Joker, Vacation Alfred, Black Vulcan, Jor-El, Clock King, Soccer Mom Bat, and Vacation Robin.

The other minifigures that will be in the Series 2 The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures (71020) include Disco Alfred, Hugo Strange, Mer-Bat, Vacation Batgirl, Killer Moth, Jayna, Zan, Apache Chief, General Zod, Doctor Phosphorus, and Black Canary.L

I am looking forward to this new series. I’ll be purchasing 10 of these.

Even if someone is trying to avoid unofficial “spoilers”, the good news is that eagle-eyed viewers can see what every single one of these minifigs will look like in TLBM except Swimming Pool Batman, and several of the accessories. SPB only appears in the 2nd trailer which was played at SDCC last year, and is really only visible from the head up (looks exactly like Vacation Batman from TLBM S1, but wearing the Bat-Speedo from when Batman breaks into Arkham). None of the Vacation minifigs (including TLBM S1 Vacation Batman) come with accessories that feature in the film, as they only make a brief appearance during the end credits with white surfboards. Based on the insert images neither Zan nor Jayna come with Gleek, which is really shortsighted since they used the chimp mold that is so far exclusive to the CMF line, and none of their accessories nor those of any of the other Justice Leaguers seem to feature in the film that I could see, but most of those make sense for their respective characters. Most.

And I just thought of this, but Jor-El’s armor is probably going to be used by several people to MOC Superman’s spacesuit as seen in works like the Justice League/Unlimited animated series.

I just realized while looking at this image that at the end of his movie, Lego Movie Batman has a better relationship with the Joker than with the Justice League.
