As we know by now, LEGO is teaming up with Walmart to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the LEGO brick. If you want to score a great deal over at Walmart in the next few days, this may be of interest to you. On Saturday, February 3, Wednesday, Feb. 7, and Sunday, February 11 you can get the LEGO 60th Anniversary Bundle for just $5.65. The bundle includes the LEGO Creative Building Set (10702) and the Sand Baseplate (10699).
I’m not sure if this offer is only valid online or if stores will have it as well but if you can get it, you’ll be getting a heck of a deal as the Creative Building Set retails for $29.99 and the baseplate goes for $7.99. One other thing to note is that both items are soon to be retired so if they offer it in stores, you might not be able to find them.

Wow. That is a crazy deal. I’m curious – why those specific dates? Thanks for sharing!
Probably just to give people multiple chances to buy. These kind of things usually sell out the first minute or two
An appreciable amount of LEGO for a very good price count me in.
They won’t be available in stores, at least not the two Superstores was in or called today. Neither of the toy department persons knew about these promotions. There are new sets at Target as well (in-store and online) for the 60th Anniversary. I’ve purchased 3 of the 4 available. priced $5 to $30
Any idea on the times? midnight eastern?
It didn’t say. I would just keep checking throughout the day(s) if you really want them.
I’m curious, set #10702 are currently out of stock both online and in stores around us, so will they even have any available when the promos go live?
Possibly. Like I said, they’re old products. The set is from 2016 so it is already retired. I think they’re just trying to get rid of any inventory they have, if any.
Someone told me the reason it’s $5.65 specifically (not $5.99 or some other pricing) is because 60 years ago, that was how much it costs to purchase a lego set.
So..we get the blue baseplate for water and…they may retire the sand?
What is it with Lego being so withholding with the plates?
The mark up must be huge a they are flimsy things and ovepriced.
They retired the blue baseplate a few years back in favor of sand. Now sand is being phased out and blue is back. It’s cyclical. Also — they’re not “flimsy”. They’re made out of the same ABS that regular LEGO bricks are made of and are meant to sit on flat surfaces to hold up your creations. Relative to your individual LEGO bricks, they’re fairly huge and are thus priced accordingly.
Already sold out, Feb 3 12:02am
I’ve been checking on it. It never became available for purchase.
hmmm, 3am est and cst, still not available
It was never up, I’ve been refreshing the whole night
ordered the 60th anniversary set from walmart and jet to get the limited edition booklet, both orders were the wrong item, called Lego, they said their call center was getting nothing but complaints about Wallyworld and their problems with fullfillment
Yes it did. Several people on the Facebook group grabbed it around 8:01EST
Well I guess I’ll wait up til pst
According to the walmart chat help, “this Lego bundle set should
have been available since 12 am from today. I am really sorry to say
this .fist, I am afraid we are experiencing a site error at this moment that
does not allow for the bundle to be available yet.””at this moment we have been advised for a 24
hours time frame in order for this to be fixed. In the meantime you can
go ahead and get the in-stock alert for the item when available on the link of
the bundle or check on the other dates that would be available as well that is
on February 7th and February 11th.”
You’d think for a company that frequently handles Black Friday deals yearly, this would be a small case.
I was on at midnight, 4am and 6am central time and it always said sign up for the alert (which I did and did not get an email) when I went on after 7am it was switched to unavailable.
Sold out. I signed up for email notifications. It’s a good deal if you can get it.
I checked a few times today, at no point did set 10702 list at this price, sold out or otherwise. Sorry, but assuming this came from Walmart, someone must have either lied or changed their mind.
There was confirmation that some readers were able to get it. It was up at 8:01am EST for about 2 minutes;
No go from either midnight or later in the a.m. on the 7th. Always said either out of stock or “can’t provide information on this product”.
Went on sale at 7:00 am cst. I had one in my cart but was told it was sold out by the time I got to the final page of the checkout process.
I didn’t get an email saying it was back in stock but when I reloaded the page, it said it was out of stock!! So annoying! Customer Service was no help either. Has this ever actually been on sale!?!
