Well that was interesting…… It seems like the chicken will be the main villian of the film. Jk. It does seem like this animation is the style that will be used from now on
I’m not a fan yet since I prefer the wise sensei wu from the tv show
Wu is stil going to be wise in the film but also wisecracking as well. He will sort of be the Vitruvius of the Ninjago world but not as goofy. In the short he is facing off against the chicken who us invading the short film that he is supposed to star in.
I preferred the style from ‘The Lego Movie’ the addition of non-lego looking aspects makes the Lego feel out of place, or the whole thing ends up feeling like a display rather than a world in which they function.
– If everything is Lego, you understand the general idea of why they build from Lego.
– If some aspects are non-lego you question them and the role it plays, considering there are no buildings made of anything other than Lego Bricks
As for Wu, not a fan of him being played by Jackie Chan – it doesn’t match what I’d expect that sort of character to sound like. His actions also are more overly cartoonish and amateurish than what he’s portrayed as in the shows, granted this is a reboot of sorts – but will be disappointed if this movie leans more heavily on the comedy.
