Next up on our reviews of the LEGO One Piece sets, we take a look at the Showdown with Captain Smoker (75642). The set has 547 pieces and retails for $69.99.

Minifigures
There are four minifigures in this set, Monkey D. Luffy, Sanji, Monkey D. Dragon, and Captain Smoker. Luffy is in the older outfit when the Straw Pirates just reached Loguetown. He has the usual red vest and has on tan pants. His double-sided head shows him with a confident smile on one side and concerned sweating look on the other. Like with the other sets, his straw hat is molded on to his hair.

Sanji has on the blue buttoned up shirt and black pants. His double-sided head shows him with a smirk on one side and a smile on the other.

Even though Dragon appears for only a few minutes, he does get a minifigure in this set. He wears a purple suit with a green hooded cape. His double-sided head shows him with a stern look on one side and an angry look on the other. His face also has the distinct tattoo on the left side. His accessory does include a printed tile of Mr. 9.

Lastly we have the main baddie of the set with Captain Smoker. He has on the unzipped white jacket with black pants. His double-sided head shows him with a smirk on one side and an evil smile on the other. The thing with Smoker is he ate the Moku Moku no Mi that allows him to transform his body into smoke. Here he has some extra smoke arms that are semi-transparent and cloudy. He also has some extra ghost legs as well.

Build
Since Smoker’s arms to extra heavy, there’s a little stand that you can stand him on for leverage.

There’s a little fish stand with various types of seafood including the elephant tuna. There’s nothing too special here.

The other small build is Smoker’s motorcycle. It’s a 3-wheeler that can only fit one person and the front wheel doesn’t turn.

Lastly we have the building that has a couple of places such as the recruitment center and the Arms Shop. There’s an Easter egg direction sign showing Doskoi Panda. On the side of the recruitment center, there’s a scratched out Luffy wanted poster.

On the inside, the lower floor of the recruitment center doesn’t have that much besides a cabinet and a gun hanging on the wall.

The upper levels has Smoker’s office with a training dummy and a map while the other side has a desk with a Den Den Mushi and another Baroque Works tile, this one of Mr. 3.

For Ipponmatsu’s Arms Shop, there are various swords hanging on the shelf and one on the table which I assume is the Yubashiri even though it should be black and not clear.

Results
The LEGO One Piece Showdown with Captain Smoker (75642) is an okay set but on the more expensive side for what you get. Most of the main players from the scene are here but the glaring omission is Zoro. Why have Ipponmatsu’s shop without Zoro getting his new swords or even Tashigi? Sanji is okay since he was here to get some specialty food items. Smoker looks really good and I do like the extras to show his Devil Fruit powers.
The main building itself is just okay as it is similar to many other ones its size. Again, I don’t understand the logic of having the Arms Shop without the corresponding minifigures.
