Record Number of Guests at LEGO House This Summer

LEGO has released a press release about the LEGO House which states that there is a record number of guests attending the attraction this summer. Ticket sales have surpassed last year’s numbers by 30-40% and there have been days where the LEGO House has been completely sold out.

Record number of guests at LEGO® House this summer

New visitor record this summer in LEGO® House. Despite hot days, guests have booked tickets over the past five weeks, exceeding last summer’s figures by 30-40%.

At the start of the summer holidays, the previous record week was the Easter week in April. But that record was broken in week 30 (also week 29 was very close) and several times this summer LEGO House has had to report completely sold out.

Jesper Vilstrup, CEO of LEGO House says: “The feedback from our guests is that we create an absolutely fantastic LEGO experience for both children and adults, and the guests are fortunately sharing their experience in LEGO House with family and friends. Many people share their experiences via social media, and we can clearly see that the awareness about LEGO House has increased over the past year, which I am convinced is one of the reasons for the great visitor numbers. Now guests simply have a better idea of what LEGO House is.”

LEGO House opened its doors to the public for the first time in September 2017, and since then, visitor numbers have only gone up. Last summer was the first high season at the attraction, and although

LEGO VIP Reward Terms Changed

LEGO VIP 2019-2

The new LEGO VIP Program has been running for a few weeks and it has been met with mixed reactions in the fan community. One of the downsides it had when you redeemed a reward was that you had only 30 days to use it or else your points and rewards were lost forever. LEGO has made a change to this and has extended it from 30 days to 60 days to give you flexibility on when you can use it. As of this writing, the terms still haven’t been changed so I would suggest waiting after it has been changed before you redeem anything.

We’ve listened to our fans and are extending the reward redemption terms from 30 days to 60 days. This includes discount rewards in our LEGO Stores, for phone orders, and on shop.LEGO.com. Please be patient as we work to change the terms on the VIP Rewards Center. There may be some exclusions to this policy, such as rewards that are redeemable with our partners or where legally we cannot change the terms (i.e. sweepstakes).

WASHINGTON, DC (July 16, 2019) – To honor the 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 Moon Landing on this day in 1969, the LEGO Group today kicked off a month of worldwide events to inspire the next chapter of space exploration, informed by the results of a global survey among children aged eight to 12 years old regarding space exploration. Additionally, the company partnered with Scholastic on an educational program that will send 50 children to NASA Space Camp in 2020. The program will reach teachers in Title I school districts across the United States.
