LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet Update

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet

A lot of you who have purchased the LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) from Walmart in hopes of getting the free collectible booklet have asked whether others have gotten it or not even though they’ve submitted their receipt weeks ago. I’ve seen one or two images of the booklet online but the majority of readers who have contacted me have not received theirs at this time.

For me, I submitted my receipt on January 30 and haven’t gotten anything back so far. I’ve emailed customer service and they’ve escalated my case to an “account manager” to look into it. I’ve had others who have emailed in who have also contacted customer service and they stated that the booklets are actually shipping out today, February 26. I’m not sure if this is the case for everyone but it’s worth contacting [email protected] to see what’s going on. Thanks to Fergus for the update on this.

In similar news, there’s only two days left to purchase the LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) to be eligible for the booklet if it ever releases. Overall, it’s been somewhat short of a disappointment of how LEGO/Walmart has handled this 60th anniversary promotion so far from this booklet issue to the release of the three limited edition sets. Hopefully there’s still something up LEGO’s sleeve for the rest of the year.

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Walmart Exclusive Truck (4000030) Now Available

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Walmart Exclusive Truck (4000030)

In a surprise, the Walmart exclusive LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Truck (4000030) is now available for purchase on Walmart.com. The reason for the surprise is that it is now available at 12am EST which is about twelve hours before the other sets were released on their respective dates. Like with the previous anniversary sets, this one will also go for $19.97 each and you can either have it shipped to your location or you can pick it up at your preferred store. You can also combine it with the LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) set to get over the free shipping threshold. This is the last of the Walmart LEGO 60th Anniversary series of sets that will be available.

Thanks to Ben for the heads up.

LEGO Classic Walmart 60th Anniversary Sets Limited to 5000 Each (Update)

The two exclusive limited edition LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary sets from Walmart that have been released so far have been a hit or a miss for fans as they don’t seem to be worth the cost of the sets however that doesn’t stop people from purchasing them. If you’ve already received your sets already, you may have noticed that there is a numbered sticker on them to signify the limited quantities for them and it looks like we now know how many of the sets were produced and it’s not that many.

According to an image shown on Reddit, LEGO customer service has confirmed there are only 5,000 of each of the three sets and there will be no more produced after this run. This means that if you weren’t able to get them when they are released on the first day, you’re probably out of luck unless you turn to the secondary market where flippers are basically selling them for double the retail price.

As for the sets themselves, you’re most likely buying them for collectability reasons and not to build them as you can probably recreate them using the LEGO parts from your collection. I’m still waiting for my sets to come in as I had a scare when Walmart told me they were backordered but it seems they both shipped out yesterday. The last set is the Truck (4000030) and will be available in a few days.

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Walmart Exclusive Windmill (4000029) Now Available

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Walmart Exclusive Windmill (4000029)

The Walmart exclusive LEGO 60th Anniversary Windmill (4000029) set is now available for purchase on Walmart.com. The set has 45 pieces and retails for $19.99 and is geared more towards the collectors. I guess they’ve learned their lesson from the first set as they are only allowing one per customer.

I’m not sure how much stock they have left since it went live about an hour ago. Also note that the 60th Anniversary House (4000028) is now sold out.

60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290) Giveaway

As I reported a few days ago, the 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290) has been sold out on LEGO Shop@Home after only a couple of days the promotion went live. The only ways you can get it now is at LEGO Brand Stores who still have them, have some friends who can get one for you, or on the secondary market, and they aren’t cheap. I am also giving you a chance to win a set. I currently have two sets in my possession and I’m willing to give away one set to one of you guys. The only thing that you have to do is to enter using the Rafflecopter widget below that’s it. The contest will run until the end of February and there are various ways you can get entries.

LEGO did not supply the sets. I made purchases on both Shop@Home and in store to get them using my own money while getting some sets that I wanted.

60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290) Sold Out on Shop@Home

If you’ve been holding out on getting the 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290), your luck has probably ran out. After about four days, the set is now sold out on Shop@Home at least here in the US. The promotion has now been replaced with last month’s LEGO City Dragster with a purchase of $35 or more. As predicted before the promo started, I figured this set would be very popular with the fans as it has a nostalgic vibe to it.

There may still be some LEGO Brand Stores that may still have them available so your best chance is to call them up directly and see if they do indeed have them. Other than that, your best bet to get it is on the secondary market which isn’t cheap by any means or if you have some very good friends.
