LEGO Minifigures Online Now in Open Beta

Many people have been waiting for this piece of news for a long time now. The Closed Beta for LEGO Minifigures Online ended a few days ago which meant that Funcom was ready to roll out the Open Beta very soon and that day is today. You can now go in and try out LEGO Minifigures Online by clicking “Play Now!” All you have to have is your LEGOID to start playing.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to take part of the Closed Beta and my first impressions were, “This may work.” It’s basically your standard MMO where you level up your character and upgrade your skills as you progress in the game. Throughout the beta, you will be able to test out various charcters in a couple of worlds and provide feedback to the developers.

The game is based on the popular LEGO Collectible Minifigures theme and Funcom is hoping that they will translate into a great gaming experience as well. Check out the official Funcom press release below.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham IGN Interview and Superboy Announced

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Screencap

On the last day of E3 2014, Arthur Parsons has done an interview with IGN and there are some more juicy details about LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Earlier today, it was revealed that Aquaman will be a playable character in the game with another character being annonuced later in the day. During the interview, Arthur revealed that Superboy will also be in the game and will also be voiced by Scott Porter.

The other notable thing that was touched on was the side-scrolling space stage. From the gameplay trailers, you can see that it is very similar to the Playstation 4’s Resogun. The developers wanted to give players a new way to experience the vehicles and that was a way they could do it. In free play mode, you can also use various characters such as Superman or Martian Manhunter to fly around in those particular stages.

Other than that, there wasn’t other new details that were revealed at the interview. One small thing that was mentioned was that LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be available on every game system possible including Mac and PC.

In Arthur’s Twitch interview, he mentioned something about a physical Space Batman minifigure. I’m not sure if that will be the exclusive bonus minifigure for pre-ordering the game or it will be in a future LEGO set. Just something to throw out there and ponder. Check out the full interview below.

TT Games Game Director Arthur Parsons has just wrapped up his interview with Gamespot at E3 2014 and there was some more gameplay footage and details of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. One cool detail that Arthur divulged was that the whole Justice League would be available to play at the start of the game. Also, the Legion of Doom will also be introduced as well. During the gameplay, there were a number of members of LoD that were shown on the character select screen including Cheetah, Lex Luthor, and Solomon Grundy. Other villains that are also playable included Joker, Firefly, and Killer Croc. There were also a number of super heroes that were featured on the character screen such as Batman, Robin, Cyborg, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman, Wonder Woman, Bat-Mite, Bleez, Plastic Man, and Atom. There will probably be more Red Lantern characters that will be playable as you progress in the game.

We also got to see the different types of suits that various characters could change into. Prominently featured was all of Cyborg’s suits such as his Giant Suit, Sonar Suit, Magnet Suit, Space Suit, Demolition Suit, and Stealth Suit. Arthur also slowed off another of Robin’s suit which is his Techno Suit. It allows Robin to remote control a Toy Wonder. The other suit we got to see a glimpse of was Robin’s Attract Suit which sucks up studs. We also got to see a couple of Batman’s new suits in action such as the Space Suit and Sensor Suit.… Continue

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Video Game

DC All Access has done an interview with TT Games Game Director Arthur Parsons and has shown some gameplay demo of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. In the demo, Batman and Robin has to get the Batrocket to blast off into space. In another part of the demo, they are flying in space around Joker’s watchtower and has to take down Joker’s minions. Some playable characters that are shown include, of course Batman and Robin, Cyborg, and Flash. That is just the beginning level of the game.

Arthur mentions that once you start the game in the Batcave, you get access to Robin’s Illumination suit which lights up dark areas. Batman’s Space suit is essentially a jetpack with a laser that cuts through gold LEGO bricks. The Batcave also has some sort of test chamber for a moon buggy type vehicle.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be available this fall for every major game console. Check out the gameplay footage in the video below as well as some screencaps I took from the video. Be sure to stay tuned because there will be more details about the game later today at E3.

Cyborg Revealed for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Cyborg

Over the weekend, the official Instagram account for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham teased us with a few images of what they would be revealing today at E3. A few minutes ago, they have revealed another playable character in the game and that is a big fig Cyborg. As you can see, he is in a suit filled with gadgets and weaponry. Cyborg is the second character “revealed” by the developers of the game with Plastic Man being the first last week. To me, I think it’s a little overboard and would’ve settled for a regular minifigure size version of him. What do you think of Cyborg as a big fig?

Stay tuned later on the day when TT Games will be revealing more details of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham at E3 2014.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham E3 Teaser Images

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham E3 Teaser

Last night, the official Instagram account for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, teased three images of what seems to be another reveal at E3 2014 on Monday. Doing some Photoshop work, I stitched the images together and got the image above. I have absolutely no idea what the image is but if you have any guesses, feel free to comment below. The game will consist of at least 150 characters so it can be almost anybody from the DC Universe. It may also be an alternate costume for someone or it’s not even a character at all? Who knows. We only have to wait a couple more days for more details of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

Update: On LEGO Batman’s Facebook Page, they have revealed a slightly larger image but it’s still a mystery of what it could be.
