The Orient Express, A Legendary Train by LEt.sGO is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Coming in at 2,995 pieces, the build features the iconic train that took passengers across Europe to Istanbul from 1919 to 2009.

The Legend of the Sea Serpent by jackotrebel is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,000 piece build is a made by a mother (rebeljackot) and son combo that features a house on a rock being attacked by a large serpent.

In the past few years, there have been a ton of projects that have hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas with only a select few actually becoming official LEGO sets. This begs the question, should there be changes made to the platform sooner than later? I’ve done a piece like this a while back and I would like to revisit the topic.

LEGO Ideas began in 2014 after it changed from LEGO CUUSOO and the requirement for review ever since the beginning was that a project had to hit 10,000 supporters in a certain amount of time. Before they had two years to do so but Ideas changed to give tie extensions. Back then it seemed a lot harder to reach the goal but in recent years, 10,000 seems to be trivial now.

Since the First 2020 Review Stage, there have been 213 projects that reached 10,000 supporters with only 8 sets actually being realized. The most recent ones are the A-Frame Cabin and BTS’s Dynamite which were announced last week. Also out of the 213 projects, 31 of them went on to the BrickLink Designer Program where only 15 of those will be made.

LEGO already knows that there are a lot of projects hitting the goal and they’ve already stated that we shouldn’t be expecting any changes to LEGO Ideas anytime soon. The Air Jordan 1 by legotruman is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 286 piece build features the iconic Nike Air Jordan 1 that Michael Jordan used during his rookie year. Also proposed are other colorways for the shoes.

LEGO has started to kick off their 90th anniversary and there’s a chance for you to be part of the celebration at the LEGO House. They are holding a building contest on LEGO Ideas and if your build is one of the 25 chosen winners across three categories, your model will be displayed at the LEGO House for a year. In addition, there are also some great prizes to be won including the LEGO House (21037), The Brick Moulding Machine (40502), Dagny Holm – Master Builder (40503), and the 90th Anniversary set that hasn’t been revealed yet. The Market Village by Commander Brick is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build features a medieval-style village consisting of a tavern, blacksmith, a cottage, and some market stalls.
