LEGO August 2026 Sets Now Available on LEGO Shop – Huge Release Month!

August is now here and it is a huge LEGO release month on the LEGO Shop for various themes including the release of the LEGO Pokemon SMART Play sets. It is an unusually large month for us in the US since we finally get the rest of the summer 2026 sets for City, Friends, and Ninjago on top of the rest of the other recently announced sets. I’ve listed all the new sets below (hopefully I didn’t miss any) so there is something for everyone.

Gift with Purchase

There are quite a few LEGO August gift with purchase sets that will be running for the first few weeks. First is the LEGO Ideas The X-Files: Scully’s Lab (40896) which you can get from August 1-10 with the purchase of the The X-Files (21369), while supplies last.

To celebrate the release of the LEGO Pokemon sets, one GWP is the LEGO Pokemon Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night (40887). This will be available on the LEGO Shop and on the Pokemon Center with LEGO Pokemon SMART Play purchases of $130 or more until August 10, while supplies last.

The Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) is now back again when you purchase the LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (72153).

The LEGO Pokemon Premier Ball (30729) is available until August 10 with general purchases of €40 in European countries, while supplies last.

Rewards Center

The LEGO Pokemon Mini Pokemon Center (40911) is available again in the Rewards Center for 2,500 Insiders points.

LEGO Pokemon Mini Pokemon Center (40911) Available Again in Rewards Center

If you missed it the first time around, the LEGO Pokemon Mini Pokemon Center (40911) is now available again to redeem in the Rewards Center. Same as the first time, it costs 2,500 Insiders points and there is a limit of one per account so if you’ve already gotten it, you can’t get it again. The set was first available way back in February but it’s back just in time for the release of the new LEGO Pokemon sets.

LEGO Pokemon SMART Play Target Events

To celebrate the release of the LEGO Pokemon SMART Play sets, Target stores will be holding events for it and you can get a LEGO Pokemon tote bag with your purchase. For most stores on August 1 from 12pm-4pm, you can get the bag with the purchase of the LEGO Pokemon SMART Play sets, while supplies last. You can check the list to see if your store is participating.

LEGO and Target is also doing a LEGO Pokemon SMART Play Tour at select stores from August 1-23 from 10am-5pm. These stores will also have a free Make & Take event for a Pokeball and target build, exclusive giveaways, along with the tote bag promotion.

August is coming up extremely fast and it will surprisingly be one of the biggest LEGO release months this year. LEGO went ham over the past few weeks with their LEGO reveals for various themes as well as some that were revealed a few months ago. With so many sets to choose from the August release, there is something for everyone.

There are currently two known LEGO August gift with purchase sets. First is the LEGO Ideas The X-Files: Scully’s Lab (40896) which you can get from August 1-10 with the purchase of the The X-Files (21369), while supplies last.

If you’re looking for a deal on the LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (72153), Woot! has it discounted for 16% off. Originally priced at $649.99, the set is now listed for $544.99 which saves you $105 on it which isn’t too bad of a deal. This is probably the first decent deal I’ve seen on this set and it ships from Amazon. The deal lasts for 2 more days or until it sells out at this price.

Last Days to Vote for LEGO Ideas Pokemon Trading Card Game Building Contest

If you haven’t voted yet, there are only a few days left to get your votes in for the LEGO Ideas Pokemon Trading Card Game building contest. Voting ends in just a few days on June 11 and there are 5 finalists to choose from. There were originally 756 total submissions and LEGO whittled it down to the ones below.
