LEGO Pokemon Recruitment Bags Revealed

In addition to the new LEGO Pokemon sets that have recently been revealed, there are also some new recruitment bags that will be coming out as well. The first one is the Premier Ball (30729) which has 46 pieces. The other one is the 56 piece Trainer Supplies (30730) that has a number of items used to catch Pokemon. There’s no word yet on how they will be distributed at this time.

They are offering it for free with LEGO Pokemon pre-order purchases of $130, while supplies last. The promotional period says it’ll run from now until December 31, 2026.

LEGO Pokemon SMART Play Sets Officially Announced

Today LEGO has revealed a new wave of LEGO Pokemon sets coming out in August. The sets will utilize the new SMART Play system to have the SMART Brick makes sounds and have the Pokemon interact with each other. Note that not all sets will include a SMART Brick so you’ll have to source them separately if you want all the Pokemon to have one. All the sets are available for pre-order today on the LEGO Shop.

There will also be a gift with purchase set called Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night (40887). This set will only be available on the Pokemon Center with pre-order LEGO purchases of $130 or more, while supplies last. The promotional period says it’ll run until December 31, 2026.

LEGO Pokemon Trading Card Game Building Contest Fan Vote Live

At the end March, LEGO Ideas started a LEGO Pokemon building contest where the winning build would become an official set. The premise was to build an original full art Pokemon TCG card from a select list of eligible Pokemon. The fan vote for the contest is now live and there are five finalists to choose from. You have until Jun 11 to vote for your favorite build and the winner will be announced on February 4, 2027.

LEGO Pokemon Trading Card Game Building Contest Announced

LEGO has announced a new LEGO Pokemon Trading Card Game building contest where the winning build will become an official LEGO set. LEGO would like you to build a Pokemon TCG card using between 400-2,500 LEGO pieces from the selected list of eligible Pokemon below. The build must be an original Full Art card within a frame and can not contain any minifigures. The five finalists will go to a fan vote on May 28 and the winning build will be announced shortly after.

Build Your Own LEGO Pokemon Bidoof

You may have seen his builds before being shared with him changing various LEGO sets to Millennium Falcons. Brad Barber (CreationCaravan) has recently uploaded his latest creation which turns the newly released LEGO Pokemon Eevee (72151) into a Bidoof. The build only uses 486 parts from the Eevee set and you can build your own using by purchasing the building instructions Brad has provided. Note that I get no commissions from this and it’s but a cute little build that I wanted to share.
