LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Pod (5005376) Revealed

LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Pod

Yesterday I reported on the December 2017 LEGO Store Calendar and probably the most interesting promotion for the month is the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Pod (5005376). It will be available from December 15 – January 14, 2018 with a LEGO Star Wars purchase of $60 or more, while supplies last.

The Darth Vader Pod continues the series of pods that have been released or will be released this year including the Batman Battle Pod (4929), Nexo Knights Armor Pod (5004914), The LEGO Ninjago Movie Kai’s Dojo Pod (5004916), and Friends Ski Pod (5004920). The latter two Pods are available at Toys R Us. Unlike the other pods in which you can purchase individually, the Darth Vader Pod most likely won’t be unless Toys R Us carries it late next year.

LEGO Star Wars Toys R Us BB-8 Building Instructions

LEGO Star Wars BB-8

Yesterday was the Bricktober LEGO Star Wars Build & Take event at Toys R Us for the midi-scale BB-8. For those who weren’t able to go, a reader named Dennis has generously provided a PDF of the build so you can build your own. Honestly, this version of BB-8 is fairly ugly, especially the head area, but there’s really no other way to do it.

Rumored LEGO Sets for Solo: A Star Wars Story

A few days ago, the Han Solo standalone film, got its title of simply Solo: A Star Wars Story which was confirmed by director Ron Howard who took over for Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. As with other Star Wars movies, there will be some LEGO sets to accompany the film. According to “rumors,” there will be five system sets (75207, 75209, 75210, 75211, 75212) and possibly two buildable figures (75535, 75536) that will be released in April 2018 for it. According to one of my sources, there will be a Millennium Falcon, not surprisingly, but it will don a blue and white paint job.

We’ll probably won’t see images of these sets at next year’s Nuremberg and New York Toy Fairs since LEGO usually keeps licensed under wraps. Solo: A Star Wars Story will be in theaters May 25, 2018.

If you’ve been waiting for the building instructions for the New York Comic Con 2017 exclusive LEGO BrickHeadz Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite (41498), Lazer310 over on Reddit has graciously provided them in the Imgur albums in the comments. I took it a step further and made the images into PDFs for each of the characters which you can download below. Note that some of the parts are exclusive to this set so you will have to substitute the pieces with something else in your collection.

If you want your own set straight from NYCC, you can easily find them on eBay and the unsigned versions of set are trending to about $100 or less while the signed versions by Marcos Bessa are just around $120.

LEGO BrickHeadz Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite (41498) NYCC 2017 Exclusive Revealed

LEGO BrickHeadz NYCC 2017 Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite (41498)

LEGO has officially revealed the New York Comic Con 2017 LEGO BrickHeadz exclusive set with Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite (41498). The set has 329 pieces and will be sold for $40 to attendees who were able to get in on the pre-show lottery.

The set is based on Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back after Han was sealed in carbonite in Cloud City. What’s interesting about this NYCC 2017 set is that it is the first Star Wars set for LEGO BrickHeadz. Does this mean that we could see more Star Wars characters for LEGO BrickHeadz in 2018?

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Availability Update

If you are a LEGO VIP member, you may have received an email from LEGO regarding the availability for the new LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192). They have extended the VIP only access period through November which means that you must be a VIP member to be able to purchase the set. This also means that the general public won’t be able to purchase it on October 1 since they announced earlier that it will still be temporarily out of stock then. If you’re not a LEGO VIP member, I’m not sure why not, you can easily sign up online.

LEGO has also suggested that you call or visit your nearest LEGO Brand Store starting tomorrow to get put on the wait list for when shipment arrives at the store. Of course, there’s no way of knowing how many sets they will get per shipment so try to get on that list early for a higher chance to secure one.

As you may know, the new LEGO® Star Wars™ Millennium Falcon (75192), our largest LEGO set ever, went on sale exclusively to VIP Members on September 14. We are very excited that we received such a positive response from fans like yourself, it exceeded all of our expectations! Unfortunately, that also means the first batch has already sold out.

The good news is we are making more as quickly as possible and expect to have very limited quantities available for the remainder of 2017. We have extended the VIP-only access period, which means
