LEGO Star Wars 2016 May the 4th Shopping Event Details

LEGO Star Wars May the 4th

The 2016 LEGO Star Wars May the 4th shopping event is next week and LEGOicon has teased more details about the promotion. We already knew about the exclusive minifigure for this year with the First Order Stormtrooper (30602). It is available free with purchases of $50 or more on LEGO Star Wars products.

There is also the Double VIP Points on all LEGO Star Wars purchases which is always nice.

What we didn’t know about is the free LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens theatrical poster. The image is a direct recreation of the official poster using LEGO minifigures and builds. The only downside that I suspect about it is that it’ll be folded up. I’ve uploaded a clearer image of the poster from a postcard that I got in the mail which you can see below.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the headline set for May the 4th is the UCS Assault on Hoth. I’ll have my review on this particular set in a few weeks time.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Product Packaging Revealed

StarWars.com has revealed the packaging for the upcoming products for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The packaging features a black and blue color scheme that shows a Shadow Trooper or Death Troopers, as I’ve also heard them being called, with the new mask in the foreground with a couple of AT-ATs and TIE Fighters in the back. The LEGO Star Wars boxes should have the same design since we did get Kylo Ren like other toys when The Force Awakens sets came out.
