LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Battle Figures Stormtrooper Revealed

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Stormtrooper

Entertainment Weekly has given our first look at the new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Buildable Battle Figures Stormtrooper. This version of the Stormtrooper is the new First Order variant that will be seen in the upcoming Star Wars movie.

The set will consist of 81 pieces and stand 9 inches tall but no mention of the pricing. It’ll be available on January 1, 2016 but you can get your first close up look at it in next month’s San Diego Comic Con. I’ll be there when it is shown off to the public so you can be sure that I’ll be taking lots of pictures of it from different angles.

LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096) Official Image

LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096)

Nokturn on Eurobricks has posted the official image of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096) that will be released in August. As I mentioned in my previous post, the set will have 660 pieces and retail for 99.99 Euros. The minifigures that will be included in the set are Darth Maul, Watto, Anakin Skywalker, and Qui-Gon Jinn. R2-D2 was also rumored to be in the set but it’s been left off. We also get three DRK-1 Dark Eye Probe Droids and Darth Maul’s Bloodfin speeder.

As you can see, the new Sith Infiltrator (75096) is slightly updated from the previous 7961 set such as the front end of the ship having more sloped pieces. Also notice the Qui-Gon Jinn minifigure is now wearing a poncho piece for his Mos Espa version.

What do you guys think of the new LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096)?

More Details of Upcoming LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096)

There some new information regarding the rumored upcoming LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096) set. Sir von Lego on Eurobricks has given a release date of the set to be in August with 660 pieces, and is priced at 99.99 Euros. The set doesn’t seem to be a rumor anymore as Brickset has also uploaded the set to their database as well.

This new 76096 Sith Infiltrator will be the sixth official iteration of Darth Maul’s vehicle which was first seen in Episode I: The Phantom Menace. The previous version was a mini set from San Diego Comic 2012 and the last widely released set was in 2011 with the 7961 set which was one of my very first reviews on The Brick Fan. That set was only 479 pieces and retailed for $69.99 so this latest one will be slightly larger. Minifigures that are rumored to be in the set are Darth Maul, Watto, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, and R2-D2.

LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype (30275) Polybag Review

LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype Polybag (30275)

As I mentioned in a previous post, Toys R Us is running a weekly promotion for a free LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype (30275) polybag with a purchase of any LEGO purchase of $30 or more. I decided to take a stroll to my local store to see if there were any other new sets available and luckily I found a new set which I’ll be reviewing later. There was also an endcap rack full of the polybags which you can also purchase individually for $3.99.

LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype Polybag (30275)

The TIE Advanced Prototype has 47 pieces and is a really simple build. There are two parts to the ship, the top and bottom part which are almost the same build with some slight differences at the last part of each side. Both sides are attached at the middle with a TECHNIC axle.

Overall, the LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype (30275) polybag is pretty bland and a somewhat boring build however it does have a similar look to the larger 75082 set. Again, it is available at Toys R Us for $3.99 each or you can get it, as of this writing, as part of their weekly promo.

LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated & Expanded Book Review

Way back in 2011, DK released LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia which featured more than 300 minifigures released for the LEGO Star Wars theme and included many facts about the characters. It’s been four years since the book was published and there are a lot more characters that have been introduced into the theme so accordingly, DK has released the new Updated and Expanded version which includes 72 additional pages of new minifigures. As tradition with many DK books, there is also an exclusive minifigure included with the book which is the White Boba Fett that is based on the Ralph McQuarrie prototype Mandalorian armor used in the 1978 screen test.

LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated & Expanded consists of 288 fully-colored pages and almost everything about the book is overhauled. First off is the new cover design with the title and minifigure window right in the middle instead of in the corner as before.

LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated & Expanded

With the old Character Encyclopedia, the book was broken up into the six movies of the Star Wars saga, the Clone Wars, and the Expanded Universe. Since then Disney has released the Star Wars Rebels animated series and the book is now separated into a continuous timeline starting from Episode I, II, then to the Clone Wars, III, Rebels, IV-VI, and a new category called Legends. This chapter includes all the minifigures that were in the old Expanded Universe chapter who are regarded as non-canon.
