LEGO has officially announced the next LEGO Star Wars May the 4th exclusive with R2-D2 (75308). Releasing on May 1, the set has 2,314 pieces and will retail for $199.99. Included with the set is a R2-D2 minifigure and a special Lucasfilm 50th anniversary LEGO brick. This R2-D2 is an updated version of 10225 from 2012 which has a couple more features than its predecessor.

The set has 217 pieces and you can get it for free with purchases of $85 or more in LEGO Star Wars products from May 1-5. The set features a minibuild of the Lars Homestead and is the fourth of these small vignettes.

LEGO has teased a brand new LEGO Star Wars set in their latest announcement of the new LEGO Star Wars Imperial Probe Droid (75306). In the product video, they gave a teaser of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (75308). It looks similar to the 10225 version from 2012 but this one has been updated to be more accurate. There’s no word yet on the release date or pricing for it. There are rumors that it could be the May the 4th set and will retail for about €199.99.
