LEGO City Cargo Train (60054) Sale on Amazon

January 14, 2017 / Allen "Tormentalous" Tran

If you want to expand your LEGO City train layout while picking up an older train set at a pretty decent price, Amazon has the Cargo Train (60052) for $139.99 which is $60.00 (30%) off the normal retail price of $199.99. This is one of the lowest prices this set has been at. Keep in mind that the Cargo Train was released in 2014 so it could be on the brink of retirement soon to make way for newer sets as it reaches it’s third year of shelf life.

Move heavy goods – and animals! – around the city with the super-powerful LEGO® City Cargo Train! This awesome motorized train with 4-channel, 7-speed, infrared remote control can transport almost anything. So it’s your job to make sure the cargo is in the right place at the right time to keep the city running smoothly. Attach the cattle wagon and 2 cargo wagons together and pull them around the circular rail track with the locomotive. Operate the forklift to move the pallets safely between the wagons and truck. Keep track of all the cargo leaving and arriving in the office at the impressive cargo train station. There you can use the sliding overhead crane with hook to move heavy cargo between vehicles or onto the ground. With so many play functions and cool features, this really is the ultimate set for train enthusiasts! Includes 4 minifigures: forklift driver, train driver, farmer and a truck driver.

Top 10 LEGO 2016 Sets

December 28, 2016 / Allen "Tormentalous" Tran

I’ve had quite a few readers asking if I would do a post about my top 10 LEGO sets of 2016. Since this is the last week of the year, I guess this is now a good time to do that post. According to Brickset, there was 828 sets released this year, including gift with purchase sets, so whittling it down to 10 is quite hard to do. Again, this is just my list of top 10 sets and may vary from other people.

10. LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827)

Probably one of the best items for any Ghostbusters fan is the Firehouse Headquarters (75827). Coming in at over 4,600 pieces, there is a ton of little details from both the original Ghostbusters movies that you can find. Check out my review of the set here.

9. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man: Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge (76057)

As one of the largest non-D2C LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set to be released, the Spider-Man: Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge (76057) is a great set with lots of exclusive minifigures included such as Scarlet Spider and Kraven. Many fans have even bought two sets to make a complete bridge.

8. LEGO Creator Vacation Getaways (31052)

This 3-in-1 set is a pretty neat set that looks great as the standard model but can also be rebuilt into a summer home and a yacht. The RV is one of the best models of this type of vehicle I’ve seen.
