LEGO BrickHeadz Back to the Future Marty McFly & Doc Brown (41611)

One of the brand new LEGO BrickHeadz that I’m pretty excited to review is the Back to the Future Marty McFly & Doc Brown (41611). It has 240 pieces and retails for $19.99. It is currently available on Shop@Home and is a retailer exclusive to Target.

The contents of the box include two numbered bags, one for each of the characters, and their own respective instruction booklet.

Marty McFly

As with all other BrickHeadz sets, the build starts out at the legs which are blue for his jeans and white Nike shoes. The torso makes use of the 1X2X1 bricks with knobs which is a staple now if you’ve built a few of these before. The down vest is made out of red headlight bricks with some 1×1 and 1×4 tiles. For his shirt, it is a printed 1x2x2 brick and it looks really nice.

The head also makes use of the 1x2x1 bricks and I do like the use of the curved bricks as well as quarter-circle tiles for the shape of his hair.

His accessory is the video recorder that he uses to record the DeLorean test drive. It makes use of a 1x2x2/3 motor, a nozzle, and a printed 1×2 tile.

Doc Brown

Doc is in his white radiation suit which includes a printed 1×4 brick on the front showing part of his inner shirt as well as the pocket protector. The back also has a printed 1×4 of the radiation symbol. Around his waist in the front is a gray ingot piece to represent the data logger that connects to the stopwatch. Around the side of his body is a 1×2 brown tile for the tool pouch.

Doc’s head is the most interesting part of the build because of the curve and slope for the shape of his hair. Again, it makes use of the 1x2x1 bricks to put all the pieces on for the frizzy hair.

His accessory printed 1×2 brick for the DeLorean remote.

Overall, the LEGO BrickHeadz Back to the Future Marty McFly & Doc Brown (41611) is a great looking set and the amount of detailing they have is pretty accurate to the movie. The little accessories they have is a nice touch to complete their look. Note that the bases for the 2018 LEGO BrickHeadz, minus the seasonal ones, have any printing on the bases.

I purchased this set from Target and it wasn’t even on the shelves when I got it. I had to ask an employee to grab it from the back using the DPCI# 204-00-2222.
