It looks like we have our first official look at some of the upcoming winter 2017 LEGO City sets courtesy of the folks at Hoth Bricks but there’s no word on where the images came from. As I mentioned in the rumored sets post, the main theme for 2017 will be Police and that is exactly what we’re getting starting in January. Keep in mind that the will be more LEGO City sets in the wave with the Great Vehicles. I’ll update this post when those images are available.

I mean, the last thing my town needs is more cops and criminals. And while I feel like these are just lazy rehashes of recent Police sets, I’m pretty sure that between my brother and I, we will end up getting most of these. I want the motorcycles, the safes, and the sports cars.
But 3 of the same police motorcycles? A little bit redundant there unless you are building a motorcycle unit, I guess.

Not building a motorcycle unit, but our LEGO Town has Red’s Country Corner (motorcycle sales). “Gotta move these units to make room for 2017 inventory!”

The auto transport heist looks cool too. I don’t think they’ve made a set like that before, have they?
These are lazy rehashes of current sets that will be even more overpriced.
However the new pieces, square mudflap and hat / hair piece, are great. Te little badd guy vehicles are very nicely design, more so the bulldozer.
The police station is my least favorite of the last many many years. Just random. Mobile command unit is horrible and bizarre.
Half the cars / trucks have car doors, so that’s always nice.
Everything about thieves? Wow….
The bank coloring makes me think of the Daily Bugle from the spiderman set 76005.
Cops and Robbers for a Lego City…. groundbreaking.
