At the 2017 New York Toy Fair, LEGO has revealed the Series 17 LEGO Collectible Minifigures. As you can see from the image above from The Brick Show, there are a lot of new characters as well as some rehashes. There are 16 in the wave to collect with one of them still a mystery.

corn on the cob guy and rocket ship guy are my favourites but why is there a blank silhouette for the 16th minifigure

      Probably yet to finalize minifigure

It’s the one they teased on the pamphlet inside the LEGO Batman CMFs.

      To keep it a surprise?

Love the costume ones, the baker is awesome too, it’d interesting one is still hidden. By as a whole it feels very weak.

    i love

I always seem to be surprised by how much I end up liking all the figures, including the ones I initially don’t care for, but I agree with David4, this is a weak first impression. I’m guessing the mystery fig in the TRU-corner hat is not going to make it up for me either.

I like it fine too, the figures, most of them, are really nicely done and there are some great pieces. But I think what gets me is the lack of diversity and the redoes. There are about 10 that are City, that’s a lot. I love the shark surfboard, do we need another surfer or exercise woman? For $4 I expect greatness and this is just “It’s good….” Only one sci-fi figure, another elf woman and two other historical guys that feel like redoes.

I groaned when I saw the surfer. Another one?! At lease the exerciser is visually interesting. Nice hair, nice outfit. Mildly interesting accessory.

I actually rather have the surfer’s shark board. The water bottle can easily be made from common parts without printing.

The surfer is really useless because of the Fun at the Beach set.

I agree, the surfboard is neat. I am compelled to have the Shark Suit Guy riding on that board 😛

After getting a better look at at high-res close-up, I’m more excited about the set. Still don’t think it’s as good as the past 2, but I’m more fired up than I was initially. Hot Dog Vendor’s pants look pretty sweet!

Very cute series! Will have to get multiples of the corn. Lots of good hairpieces in this one too.

Well, many good figures, but this is still a mediocre series for me.
The reveal of the highwayman could change that though…

Also, if that rocket boy isn’t a Despicable Me reference, I don’t know what is.

  7. Frankie Wylde

I’m guessing the mystery figure is a matador.

Interesting in the Germany toy fair they showed the blank box of this and a dark green series of 20 minifigures for the fall, that’s been rumored to be fore the NinjaGo movie.

However in NYC the dark green box only has 16 mini figures and the press release says 52 mini figures this year (20 Batman+16 of this series + 16 for the fall one.). So I’m curious to if we are getting 20 or 16 and if the press release is just wrong.

one of the worst series by far .. not a single minifig to my liking … :/
