The Series 22 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71032) releases in January but we received a full box a little early to check out. Like with the previous few CMF series, the boxes are now smaller and that means there are less minifigures per box. For Series 22, there are 36 included as opposed to the 60 that we’ve been used to in years past. Each minifigure packet with retail for $4.99 which is the norm now.
Breakdown
There are three sets of minifigures per complete box of 36. Depending on how LEGO packages them, they should have a certain pattern that each minifigure goes in if you’re searching for a particular one but that is unconfirmed for now unless there are more box breakdowns that go online. Below is what my box consisted of going from the front of the box to the back:

Robot Repair Tech
The Robot Repair Tech has on a yellow welding suit with lots of printed detailing with a wrench on the front and an electrical warning on the back. One of the hands can be swapped out with either a wrench or a drill. The legs are dual molded with more robotic printing. The head is gray with some circuit printing on front and back. The front also shows a smiling expression while the back has a battery meter. The welding helmet also shows some happy eyes. Its accessory includes a hammer as well as a little robot companion.
Chili Costume Fan
She wears a dark red outfit that shows a fiery chili on the front of the torso. Her double-sided head shows her with a smile on one side and her sweating on the other. Outside of the costume, she also has a spare red hairpiece as well. The chili mold is new and is another mascot that you can use in your city. Her accessory is a carton of milk.
Troubadour
The Troubadour wears a striped blue outfit with a magenta ruffled collar. The legs are also striped with some high brown boots. His head shows him with a small mustache and a smiling expression. He wears a blue pointy hat with a magenta feather. His accessories include a mandolin and some gold coins.
Snow Guardian
The Snow Guardian has on a white coat with dark blue accents and a furry collar piece that goes around his neck. The belt shows that he is from some sort of wolf clan and it also has the snowflake emblem. His double-sided head shows him with a calm expression on one side and a stern expression on the other. He has a furry hat to complete his look. His accessories include a sword and shield that has the snowflake emblem. The husky companion has some blue eyes.
Horse and Groom
The girl wears a green plaid shirt with medium blue legs. Her freckled double-sided head shows a smirk on one side and a happy smile that shows her braces on the other. Her hair is molded on to her dark red cap. Her accessory is a carrot that is almost her size and a brown foal.
Figure Skating Champion
The Figure Skating Champion has on a light blue outfit with some metallic silver glitter throughout the torso. His head shows him with a nervous expression. His accessories include a trophy and some skates. He also has the clear action pose piece that goes on the legs to show him doing a move.
Night Protector
The Night Protector is mostly gray with purple accents throughout the torso and legs. There’s a purple jewel in the middle of the chest and the belt shows the moon emblem. The back of the torso also shows an upright moon symbol. The legs shows her with some scaly design. Her teal head shows her with a smile on one side and a stern look on the other. Her accessories include a trans-purple sword and a shield again with the moon symbol.
Forest Elf
The Forest Elf wears a green outfit that has a design that looks like a leaf. The belt has some acorn and leaf designs. He wears a soft, leaf-shaped cape which goes around his neck. His double-sided head shows him with smiles on both sides. The cap that he wears is also acorn-shaped. His accessories include a stick as well as a mushroom that has a face on it. If you played MapleStory, the mushroom kind of reminds me of that.
Bird-watcher
The Bird-watcher has on a black short-sleeve shirt with watch printing on one of the arms. The cargo pants are dual molded with pockets on the sides and brown boots. Her double-sided head shows a smirk on one side and a nervous smile on the other. Her hair is also molded on to the teal cap. Her accessories include a magenta shoulder bag and green binoculars. Also included is a sitting on some leaves.
Raccoon Costume Fan
The Raccoon Costume Fan is another addition to the animal mascot minifigures. The trash panda is pretty bland with the torso just showing some fur on the front. There is a tail piece to add between the torso and legs. The helmet is your typical animal head which shows the minifigures face. Her double-sided shows her with smiles on both sides. Also included with her is a separate hair piece and it reveals that she is an older lady. Her accessories include a green trash can and a white trash bag.
Space Creature
The Space Creature has what I believe to be the first purple torso with the Classic Space logo. The arms on it do have some printing as well. The legs are also purple with some detailing on them. The head is two separate pieces with the “head” piece being a double-sided mouth showing two different smiles. The eyes go on top of the head and it uses a soft plastic. Its accessories include a teal blaster and a trans-green canister that attaches to the back.
Wheelchair Racer
The Wheelchair Racer has on a light blue outfit that looks somewhat like the adidas logo. He wears a medal around the neck and has a light blue helmet. The wheelchair is white and has a trans-blue wheel on the front and solid black wheels on the back. Also included with the minifigure is a clear 1×1 round brick to have the wheelchair fit on the baseplate.
Results
Overall, the Series 22 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71032) will have a wide variety of characters that you will be able to add to your collection. Some of them are pretty unique such as the Troubadour and Night Protector and some are pretty generic that you can add to many settings such as the Groom and Bird-watcher. Of course, there are the mascots which are always popular.
If I had to choose my favorite, it’ll probably be the Space Creature simply because we can now have a purple Classic Space torso. The Night Protector is a very close second as she has a lot of nice detailing throughout. The Wheelchair Racer also adds to LEGO’s mission of diversity and inclusion.
