Please note this link takes you to a dutch LEGO-news site!!!
The people here say the set will be 120 euro in the Netherlands.
So that will probably be around 100$ US (since LEGO sets are more expensive here than in other countries)

    • HJ

Actually, it says the price in The Netherlands will be €129,99.
German price will then probably be either €109,99 or €119,99.

      • Guyon van Oers

        Didn’t notice that, thanks!

  2. Mark MacKenzie

    It’s £110

This is amazing! I’ll have to make room in my London display for this

Are there really no Minifigures in this or am I just blind?

    • Allen

The large Creator vehicle sets have no minifigures.

        Thanks for the information!

This model is 12 studs wide, if you don’t count the tiles, ad panels, mirrors, etc on the sides. To be minifig scale, I went with 8 studs for my MOC. That just barely allowed seating on both sides of an aisle, while not making the passengers look like small children. Many AFOLs, particularly older ones, would favor 6-wide (or even 4-wide) to keep it more in scale with the enclosed roller skates that passed as cars in vintage (and some current) Town/City sets, or to match the size of the old 384/760 London Bus set. This looks more in scale with 2008’s Tumbler from the last wave of the Batman theme, which can actually drive down the sidewalks on both sides of a LEGO road plate simultaneously.

      • Purple Dave

Just realized Route 7 would also be good, since that’s the number on the first London Bus set (384/760).

Why would there be minifigures in this set? There were no figures in the Volkswagen Beetle, Ferrari F40, MINI Cooper, or Volkswagen T1. Including them at this scale would be ridiculous. You only get minifigures in the non-System scale UCS sets because the characters are well known.

      • Nikki X

Oh, I’m sorry I’m super new to the Lego game and don’t really know how this all works yet.

        • Purple Dave

Some (but not all) UCS sets have minifigs because it gives them a rare opportunity to release key characters from movies. So, the UCS Tumbler got Batman from Batman Begins (when he has a very different logo on the costume that looks nothing like his batarangs) and Joker from The Dark Knight. Star Wars sets often get characters related to that craft, especially if the UCS version is actually minifig scale (Millennium Falcon, Tyderium, Slave I, Sandcrawler). Creator has had several large-scale vehicles (2x VW Beetle, VW Microbus, Mini Cooper, Sopwith Camel), but none of them include minifigs. So basically, if it’s tied to a movie IP, you can expect minifigs. If not, don’t.

          • Nikki X

Makes sense! I’m really sorry I missed a DK Joker now.

Route 9, huh? Route 2 was where the first Routemaster entered service. In 2005, they were all taken out of service, but two “heritage” routes continued to operate the old designs over part of their path, during limited hours. In 2012, I designed my 8-wide minifig scale version while watching the closing ceremonies of the London Olympics, and I ended up picking that as my route number because the other route was 15, and I only had room for a single 1×1 tile to display the number. I just discovered that Route 9 ceased operation of the classic Routemaster in 2014, so I’d actually think Route 2 or Route 15 would be more appropriate for this model.

Does anyone know what the 5 London stores are I only know of 3 Leicester Square, Stratford and Westfield

    • Allen

LEGO probably means some of the other surrounding stores too like Bluewater and Watford. I’m trying to get confirmation.

      • Red Faced Goose

Bluewater is my local store so hope so or maybe Legoland Windsor?

      • Red Faced Goose

I’ve spoke to the bluewater store and they have confirmed that bluewater and Watford will have them hope this will help

This may be my favorite LEGO large car of all time! Love all the tiny details like the gum and used ticket box. May need to finally build my Tower Bridge and start a dedicated London/Britain display.
