I was out checking out some stuff at San Diego Comic Con 2014 when I saw this news come in my feed. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my laptop with me and I started getting emails about it from number people but this piece of news is well worth the wait. Kotaku has revealed that we are finally getting a set with Green Lantern. Yes, Green freaking Lantern! The set is the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Green Lantern vs Sinestro (76025).
In January 2015, we will finally be getting a set with the Green Lantern minifigure. Earlier today, we reported of an image posted by LEGO that may suggest that we could be seeing him in a future set. A few hours later, bam! There’s no piece count on the set but we do know that it will retail for $19.95. The set will consist of Mr. Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, and his nemesis, Sinestro. If that wasn’t enough, a white Space Batman minifigure that was featured in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is also included.
Now that this set has been revealed, fans that have been waiting for a Green Lantern minifigure can be relieved that their dream has finally come true. The set will be on display at SDCC 2014 this week and we’ll get an up close look at it.

This set looks so awesome and it’s so cheap! Can’t believe we not only get Green Lantern finally but Sinestro too?! It’s insane but brilliant! Love it!
Hopefully we get a Wonder Woman themed set with that New 52 costume, and we should definitely get the awesome New 52 Batman. What’s the likeliness of Aquaman and Flash themed sets?
I think the version of The Flash that we have is New 52. It has the chin piece.
They might do a version with more lightning stripes down him like so: http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111133346/3911281-0733895373-31699.jpg
I’m more interested in the set and villains that could come with Flash if they did him in another set.
I like the less busy version we have now. More going on is not always better.
I never actually said I wanted a different Flash figure… I said we’d most likely be getting the New 52 Batman and Wonder Woman. I also said I hope we get a Flash themed set, I didn’t say anything about having a different Flash figure.
I wonder how that cape will fit on the Batman figure. I hope it’s instead of the wings, because there’s no way that that Batman is fitting in my display wearing those wings.
Anyone else notice those spring loaded shooters?!
Am I the only one who thinks the jet is similar to the one in the hulk helicarrier set?
Now that you mention it… it definitely looks similar!
It has finally happened, after all this time.
I remember as a youth watching the rich boys laughing as they happily played with their sdcc exclusive green lanterns from the gazebos of their summer estates and thinking ‘one day…’
Now so many years have past and I am an old man, but at least I know I will get a chance to hold an official Lego Green Lantern in my hands for a few precious moments before my body crumbles into naught but dust and is placed into a Lego coffin by my Grandchildren, all of whom are named after defunct Lego toylines. Dino Attack is getting the house.
Nah, not true I have one since 2011, from San diego comic con convention long ago like 3 years, I didn’t had the chance to go this year because college was coming back for me early, I was one of the lucky people who got one, when I was there many people who got one was AFOL, I don’t why you say rich boys laughing, but many of us who have Green Lanterns were adult fan Lego Collectors so you sir don’t have to call us rich boys, I would be gladly to give you one, but you can still wait for it, to come out, like next year.
