Just a short while ago, LEGO revealed the official images of the new LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (75828) set from the upcoming movie based on the all-female cast. As you can see, the set features all of the main characters including Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, and Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan. The Ecto-1 is based on a new vehicle and is able to fit all four Ghostbusters minifigures. It also seems that all of their proton packs will be able to fit in the back as well.
Also revealed along with the Ecto-1 is the Ecto-2 motorcycle which is ridden by Chris Hemsworth’s character Kevin. One of the images also might contain a spoiler as Kevin seems to be possessed. The last minifigure in the set is a red Daemon which could be something that’s part of the plot.
Reports have that the set is priced at $59.99 and will be available on July 1st.

To me, the movie looks like it will be bad, but the set looks good. Heck IMO the LEGO reboot Ecto 1 looks better than the vehicle they are using in the new movie.
Man, you haven’t seen the reboot yet!
We haven’t even seen a trailer yet.
That should worry people too, not even a teaser out, just a bunch of pictures (which do not impress me either). Look Typically reboots may be OK for those movies that really were not up to par in their day. Can the same really be said for the original Ghostbusters? I do no think so, never mind the Director is so-so (compared to the original), the main actors playing the Ghostbusters are so-so (compared to the originals), and they are likely going to rehash most of the good jokes from the original into this one. If I want to see the jokes from the original Ghostbusters, I’ll watch the original.
There are plenty of excellent movies back in the day that have been rebooted as well. And I’m hoping that the lack of a trailer so far means that they are very carefully producing one as opposed to pumping one out BvS style.
Anyway, personally I have no clue how this movie will turn out, just that it’s a bit too early to judge based on some promo pics.
Dang, looks like Thor is getting possessed at some point in the movie.
These character designs are amazing, and the set looks excellent.
