The HMS Beagle by LuisPG is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project is based on the ship’s second voyage from 1831-1836 during the exploration of South America. The exploration was of historical importance because Charles Darwin joined the crew and later released The Voyage of the Beagle.
The project also has some small vignettes of Darwin’s exploration while on the Beagle including the Galapagos Islands, Andes Mountains, and Patagonia.
The HMS Beagle now joins Jurassic Park Explorer, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Nautilus, the Toyota Landcruiser 40 Series, and the Beatles Yellow Submarine as the projects that qualify for the Third 2015 Review Stage.

Beautiful brickbuilt ship, lovely vignettes. I love it, so please make it!
Average brick count, theme is good and unused. This set might actually have a chance.
Sadly this set will never be made. I think everyone should know by now that Ideas does not produce sets for more than about 59.99 USD price point. This set would like be around 150-200 USD, so I do not see that happening which is a shame because it is a nice ship (though cloth sails would be better IMO)
1. Exchanging for cloth sails may lower the price.
2. Isn’t Ghostbuster HQ around $360 or something?
Cloth sails may, as LEGo outsourches those, so it may be about the same cost (though would likely lighten the sets packing weight)
As for #2: Ghostbuster HQ is not an ideas set. At least LEGO is not crediting it as an ideas set to the best of my knowledge
Then what category is GB HQ?
Appears to show at S@H as an ‘exclusive’. This was not a set submitted by a fan that was produced by LEGO so I doubt it would be in the Ideas category (and yes I know there have been fan submitted HQs, but those are not this one)
