I haven’t been following the LEGO Legends of Chima Ultrabuild sets since the official images were found last month but there is some news that people may not be happy about. BZPower reported earlier this month that the summer 2014 wave of the Ultrabuild/Constraction sets will not be released in North America. Andrew notes that the information came directly from LEGO so there’s no questioning that this piece of news is not a rumor. I know there are people in North America who are in this niche group and love to build these sets as well as Constraction MOcs and this is obviously devastating news to hear.
LEGO hasn’t given an explanation that I know about of why the Chima Ultrabuilds would not be sold over here but I speculate that poor sales of the previous Ultrabuilds may have been a factor. It’s a shame that people who want them here in the US have to purchase them from overseas and whatnot because the summer wave ones actually looked pretty cool.
