Releasing in September are some new LEGO Marvel figures and the first one I’ll be checking out is Miles Morales (76225). It has 238 pieces and retails for $24.99.
One thing LEGO has done really well with these figures is the range of poseability. Most of all the areas have ball joints or swivel joints. The legs use click joints to keep the figure standing upright while having a decent range of motion. This also hinders the legs moving forward so you can’t really get all the range that you should like any crouching motion.
The shoulder pads are able to lift up unlike Iron Man so the arms can be raised higher. The fingers also have some movement so you can get that web shooting finger style. Coming with the set are some translucent blue web accessories.
There are some nice printed pieces for the chest and the head but unfortunately, there is no printing on the back and it looks rather depressing from that angle. The headpiece uses the same one for all the characters so it has an odd shape.
Overall, the LEGO Marvel Miles Morales (76225) is a decent figure but there are those little things that take away from the model like the legs and the non-printed back. The initial impressions of the set when it was first revealed were mixed and I have a feeling that it’ll be like that again when people get their hands on it. Character figures aren’t fan favorites and it won’t be for everyone.
Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
