The images of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Age of Ultron sets have been revealed in the LEGO German retailer catalog. These are some of the most anticipated sets of 2015 and now we have images and they are awesome!
As mentioned before, there will be six sets that will accompany the upcoming film. Five of the six sets will also have the “Super Jumper” feature that was seen in the 2015 LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes sets.
The LEGO Avengers: Age of Ultron sets are scheduled to be tentatively released in April 2015 but they might show up in stores a little earlier. To see clearer images, click through the images for a larger version.

Marvel & Lego Rocks!
That Hydra invasion set spoils a lot. 😛
So… been looking forward to these sets since they announced the idea of Ultron… so time to give some thoughts;
Iron Man vs. Ultron (76029)
– With a total of four figures, three being Ultron’s this is definitely a pick-up for me. Its a classic army-builder style set and with three Ultron’s in each its probably wise for me to pick up a few of them.
Duel with Hydra (76030)
– Not much to say about this set, other than Hawkeye I don’t see a redeeming factor or reason to buy it… feels like a pass. The vehicles seem really unnecessary and the film version of Hawkeye isn’t really my favourite. Very easy pass for me.
Rescue Mission (76031)
– Feels like a good set, you get three good figures, one big fig and a fifth figure if you count the Hulkbuster. Though for me it feels a little oddly proportioned, the hulkbuster should be smaller or Hulk should be larger. Will probably be a purchase though, easy way to get Hulk.
The Avengers Quinjet Chase (76032)
– Seems like this is the main set they want to sell, throwing in Ultimate Ultron and Vision… yet sadly it feels too similar to the Quinjet from the last wave or the Milano Spaceship I already have. Vision doesn’t seem to accurately represent what we’ve seen of him and Ultron driving a truck seems odd. Not sure if this is a wise purchase, yet its an unfortunate purchase that I deem necessary.
Attack on Avengers Tower (76038)
– Getting it out of the way quickly, the tower is a massive disappointment. Too much focus went into playability and gimmicks rather than actual development of the tower or its interior. The figures are all good, but that tower needs work. Will probably wait for this one or skip it as the UCS Helicarrier is likely the more iconic thing of the series.
Burglary at the Hydra Fortress (76041)
– Very easy pass for me, the vehicle and tower are badly proportioned and other than Quick Silver and Baron Von Strucker every other figure can be gotten elsewhere.
Final thoughts;
Overall the figures of this line seem to be the main factor while several of the builds suffer, being generic vehicle chase sets or badly proportioned focusing on one thing over the other. The best set appears to be the Iron Man vs Ultron set which is a must-have army builder for fans of Ultron.
I look forward to seeing the UCS Helicarrier soon to determine whether that is a purchase or the Avengers Tower. Fingers crossed we get Avengers Infinity War sets in the future, I really hope we will see Thanos and more down the line.
Review much?
Isnt that entirely what people are supposed to do when asked to write what they thought of the sets? 😛
Yeah I guess so 😀
Iron Man vs. UItron:
– I don’t know about this one, simply because i’m not sure about the accuracy to the movie yet. Because (unless he was just misleading people) Joss Whedon said there was THREE versions of ultron, all of which are not the one in this set. Other than that tho it looks like a decent purchase non the less.
Duel with Hydra:
– I have to say…. the super hero lines have proven themselves to have great 20$ sets and this one looks like it’s going to continue that with a cheap way to get a (new) Thor and a cheap (and only) way to a new hawk eye, and there’s even a couple of decent vehicles.
Hulkbuster:
– A little disappointing as the hulkbuster is way to big and scarlet witch does not have the most accurate hair or energy pieces and ultron is not tall enough (in movie he is 8 ft tall). But on the positive side of things we FINALLY get a more accurately colored hulk.
The Avengers Quinjet Chase:
– Everything is awesome! I can’t seem to find any negatives about it (other than ultron not being tall enough) although visions color accuracy to the movie is questionable.
Attack on Avengers Tower:
-This is the worst of the bunch imho. Scarilian pretty much has the same point of views on the set that I have.
Burglary at the Hydra Fortress:
-Hmmm not sure about this one, The minifigures are the best part of this set but only two of them are exclusive (and they are not exactly the most accurate) and the rest can gotten in other sets. The builds them self’s are just ok at best I need to see the back of the “fortress” before I make further judgements.
Overall:
This wave looks fantastic the best wave of marvel super heroes since 2012 (not that the others where bad) imo, other than the stated negatives of course.
*none
*none of which
Sorry i was kind of in a hurry.
