LEGO MINDSTORMS Mini Robots (40413)

Starting tomorrow, LEGO will be offering a new gift with purchase set for the LEGO MINDSTORMS Mini Robots (40413). From October 15-25 with purchases of $100 or more on the LEGO Shop, you can get this miniature version of the LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor (51515) complete with five different builds. The great thing about it is that you can have them all built at the same time without taking pieces from one build for another.

The second build is Charlie and it rolls on two large wheels on the back and two balls on the front. You can open the panel in the front to reveal its heart.

Next up is Gelo who reminds me of Spot from the team at Boston Dynamics.

M.V.P. is the only robot that has interchangable parts with the crane holding a bucket and a mobile turret fitted with two stud shooters.

Lastly, we have Tricky who’s function is a basketball dunker. Contrary to what the box art shows, the arm doesn’t really stay up due to the weight in the front.

Overall, the LEGO MINDSTORMS Mini Robots (40413) is a decent promotion for the release of the new Robot Inventor (51515) set. All of builds are a good representation of what you can find in the larger version.
