World of Games has uploaded new official box art images of the 2018 LEGO Ninjago sets based on the Sons of Garmadon storyline. We’ve already seen the set images but it’s nice to see the box art. There’s also one set that we haven’t seen yet called the Temple of Resurrection (70643). I’ll add the images to my main post for the 2018 LEGO Ninjago sets.
Katana V11 (70638)

Street Race of Snake Jaguar (70639)

S.O.G. Headquarters (70640)

Ninja Nightcrawler (70641)

Killow vs. Samurai X (70642)

Temple of Resurrection (70643)

Woah, that temple looks awesome! I love the feature where you change the shape of it and Garmadon “comes back to life”!
Seconded
Thirded – I have no interest in Ninjago as a thing, but they keep on mking such great buildings for the theme. And dragons. And boats.
These are really boring rehashes, so many saved to buy that awesome temple!
What are Kai’s boat and Lloyd’s car supposed to be rehashes of, exactly? They don’t particularly resemble any past Ninjago vehicles that I can remember.
Actually this is the 1st ever Fire themed hydrofoil boat for Kai and this is the 1st ever Energy themed corvette for Lloyd.
It’s a green version of 70727-1: X-1 Ninja Charger.
The NinjaGo Movie sets didn’t have any rehashed ideas, it was original and had 3 times as many sets.
It looks like The NinjaGo Ninjas have merge the TV version and the Movie version into 1.
So can anyone else read the names of any of the new characters? The only one I can pick out is “Luke Cunningham” on the Katana VII set.
i’m curious as to how these sets and the show will be received. the majority of ninjago fans (kids) I’ve talked to didn’t like the movie, and didn’t like that the show is going to be following the movie characters.
