LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75205)

Toys R Us has posted a listed for a new LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75205) set. This set is different from the 75052 version from 2014 but a remake from the 2004 set. This 2018 Mos Eisley Cantina will have 376 pieces and retail for $39.99 and it includes minifigures of Greedo, Han Solo, Wuher, and a Sandtrooper. Unfortunately for this time, we don’t get the Cantina Band but we can recreate the famous “who shot first” scene.

Recreate iconic Star Wars: A New Hope scenes at Tatooine’s most perilous tavern, Mos Eisley Cantina. This detailed model has a modular, open-out design for easy play. Slide the door and enter the bar to reveal the detailed interior, which includes a counter for serving refreshments and 2 seat-tipping functions for reenacting the unforgettable encounter between Han Solo and bounty hunter, Greedo. You also get a Ubrikkian 9000 pod with an opening minifigure cockpit and stud shooter on top. This LEGO Star Wars toy includes 4 minifigures.

The price, minifigure and part count is good. I mean isn’t the A-Wing $40-$45? So I kind of like it even though it’s simple. I just wish we would get Cloud City sets.

But I rather have a bigger Cantina and smaller whatever that UFO thing is.

Good expansion if you have the last one… lets hope the UK price isn’t too bad for this catagory of set like the Phantom. I agree David4, they can keep the UFO and give us a band member!

Ehh, it’s ok IMO, I still prefer the 2014 a lot more.

Wahoo! Sorry, but I was in my own personal dark ages when Mos Eisley came out both times previously. I am really excited for this and didn’t know it was coming. Really cool to see Wuher…he wasn’t in the previous versions, was he?

      No, he’s new.

I thought that was the case. I was looking through the DK Ultimate Star Wars book a few days ago and noticed that while they designed a bar area, there was no one behind the counter! I guess it does sting knowing that they have molded parts for the cantina band and they aren’t including them here. Wouldn’t it be great if they made more sets that added on to/expanded this?

ANOTHER remake? When are we going to get the countless never before seen in Lego locations like the Geonosis Arena, the Jedi Temple, Theed Palace, etc.

Interesting. Could be a nice addition to the 2014 set I already have, just as a bit of an “add on” to the scene. I’d sure like a remake of the Jabba the Hutt palace and barge.

Good luck with that. The whole temple-slave Leia controversy guarantees that Lego will never touch either of those two scenes again.

The Hagia Sophia church/mosque issue had zero influence on the retirement of the Jabba’s Palace set, but even if it did that’s a stupid simple fix. Just don’t release a set featuring the exterior profile of the structure. Slave Leia is a different matter. Disney has specifically stated that they will no longer produce toys based on Slave Leia, which may mean that TLC is also prohibited from making minifigs of her in what is arguably her most powerful moment in the OT (you lower the depth you start at, the greater the potential rise you can achieve). However, while she’s an expectation, she’s not a requirement, as she’s not present in every scene, and she’s not wearing the chain-mail bikini in every scene when she is present.

What, no coin for the mess?

This is very disappointing. Too similar to the 2014 version, Imo. Only plus side is the Wuher figure

Don’t forget the BB-8 concept art head outside! 😛

Lol, I don’t even know what it’s supposed to be! Is it a ship or something?

        • Purple Dave

It is. Looks vaguely escape-pod-ish, but the SW:CCG labeled it some sort of landspeeder in spite of the fact that it looks anything but speedy for horizontal travel.

          • Riddler22

Lol, I think they may have mislabelled that. Thanks for the info though 🙂

Seems like with the new sets Lego is going in a direction of making smaller sets and more of them. As I have more Star Wars sets than I could ever need and really just want to complete my Minifig collection, these small sets are very welcome.

    Awesome!
