Good thing I’m getting paid just before that Batman day starts…

  • leggot

was a TRU this AM, price scanner said promo, with the price, no one knew about the bricktober sets, guess I need to go to another store with a clue

    • There should have been signs put up for them. There were a few readers who can confirm that it started today.

      • leggot

I have 6 stores in my vicinity, they all seem to get different directions for these promos, some just put them on the shelves, others hoard them untill some time after the promo starts. I bet one store has all 4 on thier shelves, same store typically has new sets out weeks before the release date, unfortunately I am not out that way often

      • colby ostrin

I went and got the Ninjago minifigure pack, hoodie Lloyd and Jay’s Lightning Jet for $12.00 off. 😉

        • leggot

did not see Jay’s Jet marked down, got the Green Dragon (will need a couple of copies to build a larger Green Dragon MOC) and a brick head as filler to make the $50 to get the Ninjago figs, signs were up in the lego section, but just said free set with $50 purchase, no in store signage about the BT sets at all

So they’re only available in store, not online?

    • Yes, it’s been like that for years in the US.

    • Purple Dave

Given how much TRU owes TLC, it’s a miracle they’re available at all.

  • Gomek

How much are they to buy? (if you can find a store that will sell them to you)

May or may not be relevant, but I think the cheerleader in the last set is the “before” of the Zombie Cheerleader that was in one of the recent minifigure series.

    • Purple Dave

The zombie cheerleader had dark-green and white with a “Z” on the front and dark-tan hair. This one is regular green and white with a “J” and dark-orange hair. I get where you’re coming from, but I’m still convinced they’re unrelated.

      • lorbaat

I’m pretty sure Lego Logic allows the zombie curse to make the changes you cite. It’s pretty clearly meant to be the same person.

        • Purple Dave

Zombie Cheerleader has another stripe below the collar and two stripes at the bottom of the shirt…thingy (don’t really know what it’s called), but no stripes on the socks.

The Zombie Skater is a clear match because they have the same hair, and aside from the “X” eyes their hoodies have all the same elements present (white collar, white drawstrings, double-ended pocket across the belly, white skull and crossbones design on the chest, and riding the same skateboard). The Wolfman Lumberjack is more or less a match to the regular Lumberjack (button-up long-sleeve shirt with collar, red/white/green plaid design, two breast pockets…or the stitch marks where one used to be, name “Kel” stitched over the left pocket in green cursive). The Zombie Pirate I used to think was a match until I actually put the two next to each other. Short red vs long dark-red jacket, red vs black lapels, white vs tan puffy-shirt, eyepatch over right vs left eye, thin beard w/ handlebar mustache vs beard element and bald upper lip, thin strap over right shoulder with belt vs thick strap over left shoulder w/o belt, rivers on hat vs none…).

The new cheerleader isn’t quite as bad a match as the pirate, but still different enough to be obviously a different person.

Allen, you might want to double check the dates. I stopped off at TRU on the long shot that they might have the TLBM pack out for sale (no luck). As long as I was there, I asked about the release order because I had never seen any official graphic aside from Germany’s Bricktember promo. They had zero information in store or online, but one of the store clerks was eventually able to find a YouTube video that included an image the uploaded claimed was found on Facebook. That image said each Bricktober week runs Friday to Thursday. If that’s true, the next three packs launch on the 6th, 13th, and 20th.

    • I’ll swing by tomorrow after work. I’ve had a few people comment on there and on FB that they were able to get the Ninjago one in the US (California).

  • Pao_Lives

Tuscaloosa AL store had the week 1 ninjago set. No signage in store for Brickfest. Cashier was not directly aware of the promotion, but several people helped look for them in the stockroom. Free with $50 purchase. No diorama packaging, like I saw on another site.
