More 2018 LEGO Polybags Revealed

The LEGO Batman Movie The Mini Ultimate Batmobile (30526)

A lot of new LEGO polybags have been revealed the past few days and collectors will be pretty excited to get some of these products. Some of these polybags are the normal brick ones while there are some pod-related items as well. There’s no word on availability of these polybags but I have a feeling that a couple of them are for future promotional items.

The Ninjago chopsticks pack definitely has the look of something that will be part of a promotion. Whatever that “Bat Shooter” thing is supposed to be (target or launcher, I can’t tell), I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s a promotion, too. The only pod promotion (Darth Vader) was cancelled. Everything else has been sold at retail (and possibly all at TRU?). Those I could see going either way, but I suspect retail. Finally, the Ultimate Batmobile. I’m eagerly awaiting to see where this will be released. The Batwing was a GWP for LBR, while the Speedwagon Batmobile was a retail polybag. Again, I could see this going either way, but again I’m leaning more towards retail. TLBM has just released a new wave of sets (possibly the last), the DVD has been out for months, and the February LEGO Store calendar has been released with no word of this set being a promotion. It just feels like every opportunity to turn this into a GWP has passed.

I’m definitely looking forward to that Ultimate Batmobile one, and I might even get three of those, if it’s a 3 in 1 set, as it looks. I didn’t know about the shooter one until now, and I’ll probably end up getting that one, too, if only for the printed parts.

Hmm, I think it is. I hadn’t heard of any 3-in-1 polybags before someone on Bricklink pointed out that the new pug from Target is one. I figured from the first image I saw that this would actually allow you to combine the tank and plane into the larger car, but on closer look I can’t see how that could be possible. But yeah, if it really is a 3-in-1, I’ll be picking up three copies just to build all three models, like I did with the two different configurations for the Speedwagon Batmobile before it.

What 2 configurations? Are you talking about the parallel parking mode, or is there another one I’m not aware of.

Wheels down and wheels up. Basically, you can pop off the liftarms that hold the wheels on and position them so they point forwards/backwards (sports-car), or straight down (truck). It’s not a big change, but the minifig-scale set does the same thing, if a bit more elegantly.
