Earlier today, Warner Bros. has released a new image for The LEGO Batman Movie which shows off some of his vehicles. We already know of the new Batmobile but the image also shows the classic style Batmobile. Also in the image appears to be some sort of jet, pirate ship, and a hovercraft. Whether or not these vehicles will be in a set remains to be seen but we know there will be at least 12 more sets that don’t have set names or images yet so the vehicles could be one of them.

Left to right, I see a jet (that I really want), a tall ship, a helicopter, Batman, a VTOL (looks kinda like the Dark Knight Rises’ lobstercopter), a hovercraft, and a Batmobile (that looks nothing like the “Speedwagon” set).
The Batmobile on the far right looks lovely (and big enough to fit Batman AND Robin). I hope that it’s due for release (although that seems unlikely since a “Batmobile” has already been revealed as part of the Lego Batman series).
It actually looks big enough to fit all of the minifigs that have been revealed for this movie so far. If you build it right, it doesn’t take a lot of space to accommodate a minifig. I put one inside a Bohrok before. I’ve built cars that are smaller than the average Speed Champions cars, but could fit a family of four instead of just the driver. That Batmobile has a footprint that’s probably at least twice the size of my rather large Routemaster double-decker bus, which is currently carrying 17 minifigs and a horse. It’s probably about ten times the size of my clown car which…um…okay, the clown car only actually fits two minifigs for real, but it does look cool with about a dozen clowns walking away from it. And it’s still only about 60% of the size of a standard Speed Champion with room for two full minifigs.
Not to be too much of a buzzkill, but these were all in the Comic-Con trailer (1:00 minute mark), along with a dozen or so other vehicles.
That is true. Thanks for pointing it out. 🙂
Some of my favorite sets came out of The LEGO Movie, so I’m really looking forward to the LEGO Batman sets.
